This is one of the most needy and most neglected groups of society that we need desperately to address. The closing of the mental hospitals some years ago did not make the issue go away. It was the beginning of street people and the underserved population who cannot sustain relationships and employment. Nearly everyone has someone in their immediate family who fits in this category. It looks different depending on vision, wealth, education and family/societal positions.
