Full story: Palladium-Item

Let me start by saying I admire and respect the RPD.I, however do question how their time is being managed.

1) Thank you Midnite.
2) Plenty of people already know who I am.
3) I really can't keep secrets.
4) Why is it a big secret anyway?

p.s. I'm not a minor.

Richmond cops are rediculous with time. I had a lady pull out in front of me and I hit her. It was her fault in the accident but she tried to fun and I had to find her in the kohls parking lot. When I called the cops they said they would be there in a few minutes. It took them 2.5 hours to get to the accident. It was so stupid. They said it was because of a shift change. Bullshit.

Our police are at the station doing paperwork because the city can no longer afford enough office help. There are also fewer officers on the street because they are not being replaced when they retire. And let's not forget, overtime is forbidden!

The Connersville police need overtime just to find their squad cars, read the post on here about the 86 year old woman being beaten and robbed and how they handled that situation, the only thing the CPD can do is lurk in the bushes and wait for a person to exit a club or pub so they can pull them over.

Shouldn't we be blaming the current city administration instead of the Police Department? The choke hold that the 'Bobblehead Gang' has on this city only serves to handcuff our police/fire/ems services. Our cops are trained and as professional as any for a city our size, but can't perform efficently if held back and bullied by the City council.

Blame the council, not the cops.

Connersvillian I agree with you and Mr T,and as Mr T said they weren't there when the 86 year old woman was attacked,so the Police don't know who did it,there are people that know who did it, I believe the victim herself knows, but rather than give the Police that information people had rather run down a good bunch of Police Officers.

You are right, the victim thinks she does know who did this and she has told Detective Phillips. She is not holding back any information and she talks with the detective frequently. Apparently the laws being as they are, police officers either have their hands tied or are afraid of rushing to justice. Until they have a case carved in stone or sealed with cement the culprit will remain free to rob and steal from the rest of us.

joyhello,Detective Phillips can't just go to a Judge and say give me a warrant for this guy because she said he done it,there are procedures that must be followed,he needs a signed affadavit from the victim identifying this person as the attacker then the Detective can get the warrant and get him off the street, and the Police can't just show up at his house without a warrant and arrest this guy because the victim said he done it.

With all the crime in this town how do you think the police are supposed to keep up? Yesterday while sitting on my porch I heard some kids on the railroad tracks and before I know it there goes a rock into the neighbors window. I called 911 and the officer was right there. Believe it or not he caught the kids that did it. I was so thankful. It is ridiculous at the crime in this town. I was born and raised in this town and in the last few years it is crazy. So you need to put yourself in their shoes and walk for awhile.

The thieves are still active, someone was in one of my vehicles last night, although there was nothing in there they would want but they left the door open. Maybe I'll have a little surprise for them next time!!

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Capricorn

Happy New Year, Capricorn! I don't think the hair of the dog will help much this morning! If you're socialising again today, keep a rein on your expenses, as there could be a slight confusion in financial matters. Friends will be at your side and bail you out if there is a crisis. Use your strong internal discipline to accomplish your personal goals this year.
