I know I am going to hear it about the facts I am going to relate in short. And since I know there are three other witnesses to this event I am comfortable with my truth. A young couple I know with 4 sm children age 10 down to 6. Hard working always live in the Randolph Co. area. Decided to move to Richmond for more opportunities. See her husband has been employed at the same place running some kind of machine for 6 close to 7 yes. They talk to Anderson rentals look at a place in the 400 block of N17 the on Tues or wed I was at work when they came ,regardless our friend went to pre clean before move in on Thurs only to find the locks changed. The SIGNED LEASE by both parties was enough for her to get utilities turned on. And we in Richmond know how hard that process can be without that lease . And as Paul Harvey used to say... And now you knowTHE REST of the story

Did somebody drop 100 pounds of LSD in the Middlefork reservoir? Because it's almost impossible to find a clear understandable post in the Richmond forums anymore. Or is Michael writing ALL the posts under different names these days? Sheesh.....

All scrap yards need to be shut down
There should be stiffer laws for all recycling centers that prevents people taken stolen wire, scrap or metal from houses. This town is greatly over looking the fact all theft of scrap from houses are coming from property owners and tax payers. If a pawn shop takes merchandise from someone than they have to hold it for a certain amount of time but nothing like that is happening when you scrap something (unless someone brings in bulk amounts).
The recycling center should have a detective that should be required to go and view where the scrap came from before they are allowed to purchase it. Why is this town overlooking the fact that all the scrap that is being stolen is being sold. Now, if I were to buy something from someone that ended up being stolen I would be arrested for possession of stolen property. They should also be required to do back ground checks for the people bringing stuff in before they buy it cause most likely they have been arrested before for the same thing.
To stop all the theft from all these houses they should ban recycling centers just like they want to ban guns and you buying over the counter drugs from the drug store.. The city needs to either protect property owners better or shut down the all recycling centers.. I just don't understand why this is being over looked when its effecting the community greatly.
Its like they are allowing this to continue to generate a growth for the county to put on their papers and push their permits but making the property owners and tax payers pay for it.. My suggestion is that everyone calls the mayors office and complain about it.. If nothing has been stolen from your property I applaud you but its only a matter of time before it will, unless this is stopped!

Saw the two Richmond Shakespeare Festival performances. Both were excellent. Both shows are professionally directed with local cast members. This is Shakespeare that everyone can relate. It is great that Richmond has something new like this to offer. So if you have nothing to do today go see Much Ado About Nothing. It is well acted and extremely funny.

There are also some rally great local artists that are selling jewelry, paintings, pottery, handmade cards, puppets, and much more. There are local performers in the green space performing music and skits. There is a children's area as well.

With all the new windmills being built in randolph county it has resulted in daily oversize loads going up u.s.27 . Who is going to pay to have the road re-paved ? randolph county gets all the profits and we get another ruined road.

Property owner,
I agree that the scrap yards are where most stolen metal ends up. Recently we had a theft and reported it to the sheriff department, the investigating deputy came to my home and gave me a case number but refused to go to the scene and look at the property. Jeff Cappa has a force of lazy, disrespectful and corrupt individuals working for him and most people do not realize it. Jeff is only concerned about his image and career in law enforcement that he has to be a crook just to survive today's environment. Drugs, drunk driving, thefts, burglaries, murders are at an all time high, while Jeff grooms himself for unopposed re-election. I do not think that shutting down the scrap metal dealers will solve the problem yet I do understand why you feel that way. The disdain of the agency that investigates these and all crimes is also at fault while we support white collar crime by paying our property taxes.
