A middle school social studies teacher was busted on sexual battery charges.

Mr. Thomas was a nice guy, he was my social studies teacher... But... looking at this was just like a downfall on his personal image, and social image. Before Mr. Thomas was barely mentioned and barely noticed. Now the students talk about him as if he's already proven guilty.
Mr. Thomas was A regular "Christopher Thomas" and I think we was A awesome teacher.(Just my opinion.

What is wrong with people. A 14 year old is a child not a temptation.

Why was this man taken to East Lake jail ? This happen in University Hts. as well . There is something wrong with that . The community it took place in, take prestige over the one he live in . This took Place in her home & the school . Since he was arrested in UH he should have gone to UH jail . He is just going to get a pat on the hand . This man is a child predator . Wake up everyone . Don’t let the something happen to our children that happen to those young ladies . Over a year and this just came to the light . I wonder where

This is my daughter school and also her S.S. teacher its really sad that he went this low. The kids at Wiley are already having a hard time with all of the changes and now this. My daughter was scared to even go back to school. He is not the only one the kids fear its another. I guess we have to wait for him to make a move on a student, the stares may just not be enough...........

It is sad that he would risk his rep for a 14-year-old girl. Sometimes, it is not all in the degrees, it is in the heart. Do the person has the heart of a teacher? Now, he will not be able to find work anywhere. That is the life he took.

Yes, he's innocent until proven guilty. It's just a matter of time before this one is found guilty.

Disclaimer,,i am not endorsing his actions, But..why is it that every time a student and teacher are involved, the student walks away with no charges. In the days of Loretta Lynn, people got married at 16, even younger, If an adult is going to get put behind bars, which is ludicrous in my opinion, then the girl should also get sent to juvy for opening her legs before she turned 18. What difference does it make if her sexual partner is 15 or 25? She still is having sex. Discipline should follow, but jail time? hardly.

Because in America it's still illegal to have sex with children. Only a pedofile would think along the lines you do. Creep !

These teachers make me sick. At least find an 18 year old.

That is disgusting and I knew him although he wasn't my teacher I had met him since the school year started so yeah now it's just a big WOW.

Most of you are assuming he is guilty before any proof has even been given...so far to me it is just words, and I hope that these accusations are untrue.

this is so sad and the girl was my EX i feel so bad for her and Mr.Thomas wasn't a teacher of mine but he was said to be a good teacher i just graduated I'm glad i wasn't there for this i would be irate...she was so preety so nice i loved her this freezes me to the core to know she's done this he's sick and from what i know he took advantage of her!

OMG shut up! You don't know if he was guilty or not. God I had him as a Teacher and he was one of the best teachers I had. I'm not defending his actions but the girl should be punished too. She let it go on for a year and she told people she knew it was wrong and she felt uncomfortable. All she had to do was say no but she went along with. So she's just as stupid as he is. So stop making her so innocent. I don't think he had sex with her and I'm a stand by that. And it's like i talked to him outside of school through one or two emails and went up to wiley to go see him and he not a bad guy. And i don't think he should be filed as a sexual predator because of it.

Just to be fair, Bruce said 16 years old (unlike the article which is about a 14 year old). That's perfectly legal in the state you live in.

Also, it's a bit disingenuous to refer to a 16 year old (or any teenager) as a child. Developmentally speaking, it's flat-out incorrect. As a legal concept, the word you're looking for is "minor." (But in the case of a 16 year old in Kentucky, it's a minor old enough to give consent to sex with a peer or adult of any age).

This is ridiculous how did this man plead not guilty hes a rappest hes going around haveing sex with kids at the school he should be locked up right know this is crazy i dont know whats wrong with the judgehe needs to be locked up for letting him get bond what if the guy went and repped somone else whill hes out on bond and the schools should do back ground checks every few months that probly would have stopped him
