Richmond has always been crime infested, but now there is an extra spin on it with the Mexicans coming into the neighborhoods.

Same as in their own country. Juarez -- many hundreds of brutal rapes and murders and the crimes are left unsolved, uninvestigated because with that culture rape and murder aren't big deals.

In fact nothing stops a man from raping and murdering a woman in Juarez and then coming on over to the USA to continue in his ways. It is about an attitude toward women and about their attitude toward rape and murder.

The Mexicans and Central Americans pouring over the border are far worse, far more violent than any thing ever before seen in the USA. What's more, they aren't trying to leave the hellhole they created, they're trying to bring it here.

I full agree with Joe that the steady stream of Mexicans and Central Americans seen flooding into the US aren't here to better their own lives, they're simply here to worsen ours. The parts of the country being driven towards a hispanic majority are not usually enviable places to live.

I sure do hope that this awful experience will set a motion into restructuring the laws of this state. Because she was 15, the laws do not apply to her. What another slap to the face to this victim and her family, and to anyone else who falls into this laws circumstances. I hope this guys got in hell.

This was the most brutal crime I've heard about in a long time. I pray for the victim and her family, but even moreso I pray for those of you that are writing the racist comments pertaining to those of hispanic descent. Why see the race of the perpetrator as opposed to the evil within them? If you really knew your history, you would know that the ancestors of the Mexicans were driven south of the border during the reign of terror and massacre of the Native Americans. It seems that while Richmond "citizens" defend their community, they are hiding the fact that what happened to that poor 15-year old girl happens there often, though unreported, as that behavior is a part of Richmond's culture. People watching, and the young women of that culture, who knew about it when it was happening, and maybe even watch and laughed, are part of the Culture that exists and will continue to exist in Richmond. The USA and the world are view Richmond's Culture. Don't defend a lie, just fix what is degrading your community and your "Culture."

Was the 15-year old girl White, Latino, Black, or Asian? What kind of Culture is going on in Richmond? Why is Richmond defending their Culture? We all know that this Culture has never ever done anything like this before right? This is the first time this Culture their has done this to a girl right? I want to know why the media won't tell us more about this girl? What color is her hair? Blonde, Black, Red, or what. It seems that the media and many in Richmond are afraid of something. What are they afraid of? Let's hear the whole truth and fix the problem. If they don't, the Richmond gang rapes will continue. Our country and the world are looking at Richmond and everything they say now.

This is truly a tragic thing to happen. This poor girl will have to deal with this for the rest of her life. And you observers will have to live with your cowardice for the rest of your lives. I dont know what has happened to California, when I grew up there we (boys) were taught not to hit girls. While the animals who perpetrated this crime may not be representative of people in Richmond, the observers have just as much to be ashamed of. They left a young girl at the mercy of those animals AND that is as much a moral statement as the crime itself.

It's the conquistador attitude, often the conquerors rape, pillage and loot. They see us as people to be conquered, dominated, raped. It's a story as old as time.

Really? You act as if gang rape is something actually normal for "kids who think they can do whatever they want and get away with it". Secondly, comparing single rape to gang rape is comparing apples and oranges. For gang rape you have to have multiple consent to the crime and assault. As more individuals are involved the probabilities are heavily lessened that more will coalesce into a group for the crime. The more that are involved the more it is a deep and foundational statement about the DNA that courses through the veins of the humans involved.
