HowAboutALittleRespect wrote: <quoted text> You are sick. You just called a 15 year old rape victim "brazen" and you ask, what nice girl does that? your comment makes me nauseous. SHE IS AN INNOCENT VICTIM, YOU SICKO!!!!!! Let's try this: You get violated repeatedly and then you tell me if you were to blame or should be held accountable. I’ll defend that poster you just labeled as a “sicko.” He/she is not sick, but merely presenting a point of view, one I take, you don’t fancy to. Well, you need to wake up and think before dumping your drivel for all to read. I’ll use the same logic on you: If you stuck your head in a lion’s mouth whose fault is it if your head gets bitten? If you have the right of way, but can see a truck barreling down showing no intent on yielding, do you brazenly continue to walk across the street? When I was 6 I knew the difference between right and wrong, I knew not to stick my finger in a light socket, I knew not to run around in the street in the dark; and, unless this child was retarded, she too had to of been aware of the dangers that existed at and around her school. Of course, the girl didn’t deserve what happened. Exercise some commonsense, that’s all the poster you ignorantly ripped into was saying. Had I of been there I’d be in jail today, because I would have killed all involved, including the filth that complacently stood by and watched while this gender-hate crime against a child took place.

Unfortunately, we know this girl, and yes, her parents did not teach her any better. When she was caught having sex in her backyard, her parents refused to believe it and denounced the person who told her as a liar. Then they let her carry on a sexual relationship for months with someone who is much older and is now in jail for statutory rape. If you don't believe this, just go to the Martinez courthouse and sit in on the case this week. I'm not saying she deserved it, because no one deserves to be treated this way!! I'm saying someone needs to intervene between this girl and her parents from now on. The worst that could happen has happened and this girl needs better guidance if she has any hope of leading a normal life.

You can’t blame some who is under the age of consent for their actions. Yes, she did drink but it was give to her by the perpetrators. You are right on; her parents have failed her in so many ways.

If your parents had taught YOU better, you wouldn't be posting these things in a public forum. It's one thing for a few people to hear about them in court, and quite another to put them out here for many others to read. You wouldn't want it done to someone you know so why do it to the victim in this case? It's not compassionate, and it's not right.

Wow, sounds like you were the most clued in kid ever! What happen to you, guess people degrade as they grow old... Kids, because lack of experience tend to not always make the best decisions. Which is why age stipulations exist for most everything. The parents are liable and responsible for most actions of their children. But lets look at the events, she lives in this neighborhood and goes to school with many of the same people, saying that she knew the dangers is ridiculous, its not like people are being raped on a daily bases. Also, she knew most of these people, some were her friends. What she failed on is NOT understanding that as a female, things that males take for granted DONOT apply to her. Many of the people she was with on that night were her own age, but they were males. Moreover, young people are notorious for not knowing their alcohol limits. Also, would she know that all these people she was commiserating with and graciously giving her liquor would change like night and day once she became inebriated.

Rape Victim wrote: The people who committed any acts upon the 15 year old girl should be prosecuted to the max. They are sub-human. But, if someone doesn't say the girl contributed to her own rape we've lost touch with reality. She made a stupid and reckless judgement call. This hints that it wasn't the first time she done so. Consider she was brazzen enough to meet up with a real rough group in remote location at night says something about her and the way she chugged the booze. What nice girl does that? Everyone needs to be held accountable...the first and heaviest burden falls on the rapists obviously, but the girl should not be let off as the totally innocent victim here. There is a lesson to be learned and everyone needs to be held accountable or the lesson gets half learned. Are you serious???? She was at school function, where she should be safe; and her judgment like most teens was not perfect but she in no way contributed to her being gang raped. This world is so F'ed up that this happened and that some of you people think that she was anything more than a innocent victim.

Hey unbelievable you are assuming that the rapist have any thought patterns going on in their head. They don't, there is no rhyme, no reason, and no remorse. Above all no conscience. Nothing They are walking dead.

Ok1a wrote: <quoted text> Wow, sounds like you were the most clued in kid ever! What happen to you, guess people degrade as they grow old... Well, I detect a little sarcasm…that’s fine, I’m not thin-skinned. My point was that barring a missing gene, normal children at an early age learn right from wrong via healthy, home-structured parental values; those values come from balanced discipline with rewards for correct behavior and punishment for wrong behavior. As you are well aware, such administration comes from the active participation of the parents in every aspect of a child’s life. Now, armed with that support most any child has a shot at making it to adulthood unscathed to the extent of detecting and avoiding avoidable accidents, i.e. things that feel right as opposed to things that don’t. The the problem of posting on an anonymous board, where there are no real guidelines to determine the sincerity of other posters based on a few posts is having to explain the ethnocentricity of an old-fashioned American upbringing. As for the remainder of your post, there is nothing for me to comment on as it doesn’t pertain to the content of my original post. Perhaps you were reading into it your own ethnocentric spin! I sincerely wish you well on your trek through life

I hope all participants be arrested and rot in jail. They will all be queens in the jail and sure will feel the pain that they caused their 15 year old victim. We encourage all prisoners to take turns in raping all these suspects and participants. Remember the motto, do not do unto others what you don't want others do unto you.

Good Grief wrote: <quoted text> - It's probably safe to say she "learned her lesson" you think she needs to learn for being a niaeve 15 year old. Being foolish, niaeve or making a bad choice does not justify gang rape by any stretch of the imagination.. Totally agree with the latter. We have to GET RID of this idea that there are "wrong places and wrong times" for women to be out in public and that if we unknowingly and unintentionally trespass into one of these “free-rape zones” we deserve to be beaten until we’re semi-conscious, repeatedly gang-raped while on-lookers jeer, laugh and take pictures, and get violated with foreign objects like what happened to this young girl. People: SHE WAS SENT TO THE HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION. There is no action somebody could take to “bring that on” or “have that coming.” Women should not be expected to frantically and compulsively alter our actions to accommodate rapists. That is not freedom. Instead, we need to get the rapists off the streets and keep them off permanently. Those who are closely following the case have probably already read that the survivor of this travesty was called over to the group by a 15-year-old boy she new and trusted. Some of the others she recognized from her neighborhood. This appalling VIOLATION OF BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS is the crime, not exercising questionable judgment as a young high school kid. Clean up this damaging noise about rape victims needing to take “accountability.” Not helpful to the cause.
