Comstock landfill to be capped as part of Superfund site settlement

At long last the PCB-laden Willow Boulevard/A Site landfills along the Kalamazoo River here will be permanently capped and the wetlands and forests surrounding them restored -- a $13 million undertaking to be paid for by Georgia Pacific, the landfill's owner.

It's great that they are cleaning that site up. Now I'm waiting to see them acknowledge the uncapped landfill in Augusta, MI off EF ave by 42nd Street. I think politics got that one shoved under the carpet, but contaminants are leeching into the groundwater as I type.
