yes. Friendship developes when there's a unique and exact understanding with one another. It's like two of the same or different parts of a puzzle that easily fits together. This type of friendship doesn't need much work because all the elements are there. There are other friendships that need work in order to reach a connection. One example: my best friend and I met when we were just becoming teenagers; we had similar attributes and understood each other perfectly. She was the only one in my life that immediately understood anything I tried to articulate and always believed in me, and I did the same for her - we dressed to match and even looked alike.

To maintain a life-long friendship, you must always be yourself (real) no matter what life presents in your path. Some people change their behavior to please others or someone new and before you know it, that person becomes unregonizable to you, the things you like about that person is gone and so is the friendship.

So, to be a good friend always remain real.
