This should be considered kidnapping as well.

Any woman that hires out to a man to dance for him in his house, is kind of STUPID. What else could she expect? If he was a "Robert Redford" type there probably wouldn't been any resistance on her part.
I believe this officer made a wrong choice when he hired a dancer to come to his house, but when she called her security guards, he acted in self defense, and he only wanted his money back. This is not robbery!

Tim, WHAT?!

Mangco, the filing of one charge in a situation lke this lessons the chance of a plea deal being sought in which the suspect would usually bargain to a lesser charge. Aggravated robbery is the better choice in this instance.

The guys like these give ALL public servant a black eye. Sad thing is, he probably did some good at work. I'd rather see it end like this early than progress over time. Glad noone was hurt.

Right - he's a american hero! The police can do no wrong. I trust them all 100%, blindly. Poor guy. Its completely her fault she didnt allow herself to be held at his home indefinately. He likely just wanted to give her some friendly police man advice on how to watch out for bad guys.

I guess you are perfect, he just made a worng choice, and then protected himself from the "Security Guards" that came into his house, uninvited by him.

Sure glad she had security guards. Train as a nursing assistant. Last week I went to a podiatrist and his nursing assistant dropped a large piece of tape onto the floor then proceeded to wrap my foot with it. When I stopped her, she went on to tell me that unless I had open sores it would be ok. I said "do not put that tape on my foot". She went on to say that they keep the floors clean. Bad cop, bad podiatrist office-- located on the north side of the street on Livingston Ave. across from the Catholic high school.

Nice. And these losers are supposed to be protecting us? Fire him, send him to jail. The murderer in Cleveland will probably only get 5 years, so you may as well just let him walk, as usual.

You'd have to check out Ohio's revised code, but kidnapping doesn't require any abduction. If you forcibly hold someone against their will, that is kidnapping.

Well, well, well...
And people are surprised when police tell them, "...if you don't like the neighborhood, just move."

All this time we thought the police were supposed to protect and serve.
Let's give them all a nice big fat raise, a big fat pension, health insurance par excellence and let them run roughshod over the rights of the people.

Dress them up in brown shirts and some real nice black leather boots. Teach them all to do the goose-step and we can sleep well knowing they are armed to the teeth but we aren't supposed to be.

Keep giving those city officials all the money they ask for to hire more of these thugs. Just what we need.

Good grief!

She did all the right things and adhered to the law. The officer was out of line and was the one who broke the law. A gun is not a toy to point around and an officer knows this. A gun should only be pulled if one is actually prepared to use it. In this case I'm glad he didn't but his actions were inappropriate at the least and against the law.

WOW!!! How proud his community and family must be right now. What a jerk. And this is a person suposedly protecting your community. Goes to show you there are all kinds of idiots out there and you just never know who your neighbors are and what skeltons are lurking in their closets.
