Heavy rain and melting snow pushed Indiana rivers and streams over their banks Tuesday, with floodwaters killing at least three people, including two children in an SUV that plunged into several feet of water.

I cant imagine the agony that the mother who was unable to save 2 of her children is going through. I am so sorry for your loss. May God be with you at this difficult time. Praying for all the families affected by this.

My prayers to all for your loss. How sad! Mother nature can be very cruel. I cant imagine what that young women is going thru. I will pray for her and her family and for all the people who have lost their homes.

Were they all her children or someone else's? Surely they were not all hers.

In the national news they listed all the kids names as this:

Shay Leininger, 5
Mariah Leininger, 4
Ashley Pruitt, 2
Michael McDaniel, 1
Canari Trigg, 3 months

It would be awful to have your own children perish like this. But then to have to answer to someone else as to why you were unable to save their child would make the guilt unbearable.

What an awful and sad situation.

I think the news said they were all adopted children, and that they were excited to have such a large happy family. Peace be with the family,your chilren are safe in Gods arms now...

They were her children....some of them almost. She and her husband were in the process of adopting the 5 out of the foster system. Two of the adoptions had been finalized; the other two were to be finalized this week.
