There are around 40,000 people living in Revere, from all walks of life. Not all of them are gang members, killers or rapists.
The majority are decent, hard-working people just trying to survive in this very expensive area. Please don't throw down the whole city for the actions of a few. Doing that only hurts the good people; the bad ones don't care about anything. |

I'm not a former neighbor, grew up in Eastie.
There are more GOOD people of all walks of life on this planet and in Revere than BAD ones. Unfortunately, the media only focuses on the bad ones. You never hear of ALL the good things people do in the news. Since you grew up people started thinking more of themselves than their friends and neighbors. Years ago, after a snowstorm, neighbors would help shovel each other out. They took care of their elderly neighbors. Every mother watched out for every child, not just their own. Now they do their own stuff and ignore everyone else. We are all to blame for this. Our kids learn by example, so you can imagine what it will be like when we grow old. When we are no longer useful to them, they will walk away and leave us. It just might be one of the "others" that is kind enough to help. |

REASON WHY THE GOOD PPL OR THE GOOD THINGS DONT COME IN THE NEWS IS BECUASE SAD TO SAY... PEOPLE THIS DAYS RATHER SEE OR READ ABOUT A BAD THING THAT HAPPEN OVER A GOOD THING THAT HAS HAPPEN |

that's all their fault - bad news sells and they are in business to sell (advertising) |

I grew up in Oak Island as well it was a wonderful time and if, Russell MacDonald is the same neighbor as we had on Oak Island Road then he used to be a friend of mey brother, Jack Holt. Neighbors had their little spats to be sure but we were also always there for each other, too.
Kids played freely in the (block) in Oak Island, far different from the much more isolated and insular society in which we now live. If Russell is the same "Russsie MacDonald" I once knew he had a brother, Warren and a sister Brenda and I believe they moved to New Hampshire eventually. Are you the same "Russie"? |
