Distraction tactic. Every group has it's nuts and criminals, however, when the group is mostly nuts and criminals, like the anti-equality groups such as NOM, then they are hate groups.

If you are going to target the enemy, the innocent should not be attacked. Most likely the guard worked for an independent agency who sent him there and was just some poor shnook trying to make an honest living.

For LGBTQ groups to condemn the deplorable actions of any one member of the community who acts on his or her own free will smacks of condescension and, conversely, internalized inferiority.

I condemn ALL violence. So do all other morally centered members of this society, regardless of their sexual orientation. I am neither going to apologize for, nor condemn, the hateful and criminal actions of any single individual based on our shared race, religion, creed, gender, physical ability, nationality, age, eye color, or taste in films and music. To do so would be irrational, unreasonable, and more than a little self-aggrandizing.
