One of the reasons that I decided to vote for Roland, is that he has been in small towns like Evans City, and a large town (Pittsburgh). I think that he can take this experience and use the positives to help rid this county of it's drug reputation. Another point is that he has mentioned that he will follow through in acting on the warrants (bench and otherwise)that are outstanding (I think over 1200). I think also, that he can be as tough as Sheriff Arpaio of Arizona fame, and as patriotic as Sheriff Mack. This man can count on me to back him. I think, since he has met me, what I mean by this.

Sherriffs in PA are not permitted to conduct investigations, so I really don't understand how the new Sherriff can do much with the drug problem. From the police officers I have talked to most drug investigations have to be long and drawn out. A drug dog would be great, but would it be available at 2 am when the locals need it? With the county commissioners trying to cut back the Sherriff's office staff why are they suddenly going to pay overtime to a deputy to respond to help other departments other than during regular business hours? Great ideas in theory but extremely unrealistic. The Sherriff will not be able to make much if any impact on the county's drug problem. What we need is a Sherriff who can run the office properly, not fight crime. No matter what they say the truth is that the only real thing they can do to fight crime is start serving all those bench warrants. The judges will then let all those people back out because housing them in jail costs money.

Slupe wins ! By a landslide ! Back to the armored car job Roland. You're far from professional as your supporters proclaim. Maybe mall guard is up your alley.

I think that not even close should take a good look at the man (and I use that term loosely) he backed. Evidently you have no morals or character either to promote someone with such dishonesty and low morals. If that is what you call a good person---then I am glad that I do NOT know you!

OLD CAMPAINER

I have done alot of camapin work in Butler county ! I mean alot ! Through my years I have camapain for people on both republican & democrat .When I looked into the sheriff. I choose Livermore, he is much better than Slupe . I knew that Butler , votes Republican . Even though Livermore was better they went for Slupe . It is not that Slupe is so good, it was he ran on the party . Butler county , when Pes. Obama won , voted republican . The ones that come out to vote , are the older people . They are not well on the computer . You have some , that have learned from their children . In the history of Btler county , we NEVER had a democrat sheriff in Butler county . Because of that & those strick party people , in Butler county . Also that the republicans out number the democrats ! Learn your polical history of Butler county . I know mine . Also i have a sister who had taken political @ Drake Untiverity , in Iowa . She sent Livermore camapin money , because she had read his friendsofroland . This sister is a repubican , but she looks @ who has what is needed for the job. When I told her Slupe won, she asked me , what is wrong with Butler county ????That they didn't vote for the best for the job , but what party they was & some democrats went along, with it . I am involve with the veterans also . The American legion memebers of 778 , they liked Livermore also . I remeber , when Osterling was unseated . But when i kept a log book on the new senator . That man didn't even run for re election !

The last thing Butler County needs, especially with all the heroin addicts in it, is unrestricted gun laws. As soon as they go into effect, every strung-out junkie will be getting their permit and, before you know it, they'll be more robberies, more burglaries, and then the drive-by shootings will begin.

Obviously, you do not know the firearms laws in this State. You can carry open (exposed, on your hip)(and I do)just about anywhere in the Commonwealth. As for the "unrestricted gun laws," if you look up the Uniform Firearms Act (UFA) you can see what those are. You seem to be like many people that refuse to see that what you foretell will never happen. Ask Florida and Texas. I see a fear monger. Oh, and just an FYI, there are no gun permits in this Commonwealth. there is, however, a license to carry a firearm.
