Why does Amerigas have so many tanks in the yard? Do they have that many customers lined up? I thought alot of people retired or left there because of someone? Does anyone know anything? Just wondering.

Why does the car lot have so many cars on the lot?
Its to be ready for new business. Stupid question.

Either that, or people are getting new suppliers. Unlike a used car lot where portable parking lots are delivering cars, I saw a flat bed hauling tanks away from the Alder Creek site. So, dumb is wrong; they are not waiting for new customers, they are making room for tanks from more disgruntled customers. Which will also be hauled away to the Amerigas headquarters. Greed is the great undoer of the haughty.

I'm the new guy and my name is Ray Miller. Yes, that's my real name. I'm not a coward who will hide behind some witty moniker. I chose to relocate to Alder Creek and work for Amerigas. Why? The beautiful Adirondacks, to be in a place where a handshake still means something and, that Amerigas is a far better company than it was a year ago. In January 2012, Amerigas acquired Heritage Propane, the most customer firendly and service oriented company in the industry. My 32 very successful years in the busines told me this is the place to be for the present and the future. I understand this location has had it challenges. And for those of you out there who blame a certain person who still works here, your anger is misguided. You should be blaming a few of those who left. I will treat everyone courteously, with honesty and respect.

Lastly, I appreciate all of the honest comments and questions but do not appreciate the comments that are obviously born of some personal vendetta. I fully realize my home, the Harley I love so much and anything I do in life that costs money I owe to the customers that choose to do business with my employer. You are the ones that really sogn my paycheck, not the CFO or treasurer of Amerigas. That is why I have been in this business for so long and will continue to be until I retire, by my choice. Thank you.

Good morning Just Me, I'm Ray the new Guy in Alder Creek. You are right to a point, some of the tanks are from customers we've lost. Most of those happened before I got here. I truly apologize to any customers lost at any point in time due to poor service or attitudes. That has changed. Some of the tanks are due to exchanges because prior management did not care enough to replace those that needed replacing. This has also changed. I agree with your quote about Greed. I can assure you I'm not greedy, just simply grateful to evey Amerigas customer.

Good evening Ray and welcome to the area. The tanks I saw leaving happened before your arrival, so you may or may not be right. The reason we left Amerigas is because your product was just too costly to afford. I never had any problems with the previous manager, or any of the installers, deliverers or inside help, so that was not the problem for us. I do know that there are some of your former customers who were insulted by one of the inside help. Amerigas would have to cut their price quite a bit to meet what I pay now, so my chances on returning are slim to none. I have lived in Upstate New York all of my life and the economy does not warrant the prices we pay for fuel here. I also know that Oneida County's sales tax is one of reason's why our fuels are too high and I blame that on State and Federal mandates and some mismanagement. When gasoline is over $3.00 per gallon and other fuel costs are higher than other areas, there is some greed. I price shop and curtail usage to preserve my retirement monies so I can continue to eat real food, pay my taxes and pay other obligations.

Anger is misguided? I highly doubt it. Why do you protect her? She certainly has you bamboozled. So everything she has told you about the others, that have left, is true? Why? Just because she said so? It's unbelievable that someone can have their head buried so far in the sand, it will be a miracle if you get too many customers. Why do I know anything about what's going on? I'll tell you, I became friends with many that "were" there. I ask questions, try not to take sides. But for YOU to blame the few that have left, is unwarrented. I have nothing but respect for the ones who are no longer there. Why? Because they refuse to work with someone who treats others as second class citizens. She even has no clue who I am, because I don't let on to the fact that I sit back, listen, ask questions and draw my own conclusions. From what I have seen and heard, it is not good. Too bad you can't figure that out for yourself, from all the complaints that have been received about her. They say "ignorance is bliss", not when you are running a company. Good Luck. P.S. One more thing, how many complaints were there about the ones who left? Except coming from her. Think about it.

I hear what your are saying. Not only is Amerigas a better company, we're more competetive but if you are happy where you are then best of luck to you. Also, thank you for the courteous manner and decent language you use to express your opinion and replies. We'll be here if your current supplier ever lets you down.

I thought quite carefully about my comments and did my research. 15 of my 32 years was spent on Long Island which is the most competetive and cutthroat market in the country. A handshake means very little down there and most of those I met are looking to one-up you. That experience alone taught me to see the signs, read people and not be "bamboozled". It also taught me that bias, in any form, is certain death for a business. The reason why I've been successful is my ability to judge based solely on job performance. We've all angered people at times and have had our actions perceived as being unfair or unfriendly. It is obvious that those you know have not given you the entire story. I don't need to know who you are. Your choice of words has told me all I need to know. And "Jacksson", rest assured, I have it figured out.

LOL, I doubt it very much. Who gave you insight into who I might be? The one who should be gone? Nice try, keep guessing. Instead of being on a topix forum, in the middle of the day,on company time, when you should be out there begging for customers. Shame on you. This is how this company spends their money, that is terrible. Are you going to tell me it's your break or lunch time? Please. Try working extra hard at doing your job, I don't want to hear excuses anymore because you are not fooling anyone, and neither is she.

Yes, your statement shows just how you will treat everyone.

To say the person who's been so apathetic, rude, and downright mean is not to blame is unbelievable. I understand dealing with people and rotten, disrespectful, mean customers; been there, dealt with them, BUT in a calm, polite(because you're not going to take me down to their level), dignified, "uncondescending" - "better than thou" manner. There is NO reason for that. And when you treat a friendly, long standing customer in that manner when there's a problem, you can count on losing the realtionship FAST.

Buyer beware of Amerigas. That's what I have been hearing more and more. This new manager, "Ray Miller", has had his head filled with more sh*t from that "woman" in the office. Yes, can you believe she is still there. My sister finally listened to me, she left this company after having to deal with her and her puppet, Ray.

They have new radio ad. About how wonderfull and great service they have. How he brought Hertage knowledge and frendly service to Amerigas. First of all Amerigas bought Hertage. FRIENDLY SERVICE ? Where does that come in to play ? Not from that Office.
