Reisterstown Law Enforcement Officer Threatens Cyclists

A Reisterstown Law Enforcement Officer, has caused quite a stir by posting threatening comments toward motorcyclists, on an internet message board. The officer, who posts under the name “technoweenie” had this to say:
“every time I see some %!$#*& driving 90mph+ on a bike coming up in the rear view, I "politely" pull right in front of him.. never been hit once, but I've seen a few nasty wipeouts... not my fault, the guy was driving too fast for traffic.” Apparantley, rather than pursue the offending rider, or issue them a citation for wreckless driving, he feels it is better to cause an accident and the casually drive away. Quote:“well.. here's the thing........ I wasnt involved in an accident, if his/her bike did not strike my vehicle, therefore I am not legally required to stop. IF, I didnt see someone, changed lanes in front of someone going twice the posted speedlimit, and they decided to faceplant the jersey barrier to avoid hitting my car, or someone else's car, thats not my fault...” While wreckless riding habits are not endorsed by a majority of the motorcycling community, the officer’s comments have understandably upset quite a few riders. The Internal Affairs Division of the Maryland State Police have been advised of the situation, and hopefully this officers driving practices will soon be under revue. |

"thats about as false as you can get... the only thing you got right was my screen name..."
I disagree with Technoweenie's statement. I have seen the comments for my self and they have been accurately portrayed. As to this internet poster being a law enforcement officer or not, I do not know. But the quotes from the internet message board are correct. |

I saved a copy of the Crown Vic forum, and that is exactly what you posted.
I know that the page has been taken down from the Crown Vic Forum to remove your posting, but it does not change the fact that you, Technoweenie, said those things. "that's blatantly libelous" does not apply, everything in that above "article" is directly quoted from your own posts. |

I just read this on the dcsportbikes.com thread:
BenLT1000 wrote: you know, for someone whose "wrong" information is posted basically everywhere online (including in public records) you appear to be very anxious about protecting it... |

hehe, I'm worried more about my company than idiots that assume because some poor guy has the same name as me, it must be me.. |
||||
WOW, Actually I think since he is so concerned about his "company" we should make sure that his company is well aware of Officer Park's intentions so that John dingleberry can stay true to his company |

riding a bike is dangerous. yes lotsa of bikes crash, some die. whether you are joking or not, you opened a can of worms you cant close now. i visit many cycle sites and i have read about this on everyone of them which have millions of memebers. Whatever problem you have with cyclist, then you need to get over it. Not all cyclist are bad guys and do bad things, and are not criminals. Didnt your parents tell you if you dont have something nice to say, dont say anythings? Joking or not..i bet now you wish you kept your mouth closed. but once again you opened yourself up to this. What you said was just plain dumb on your part, whether you meant it or not.

It's so obvious the info is right, if it wasn't, you would not be back pedaling with your statements. If the info was wrong, you we let us believe it was right. If not, you are even more of an idiot than you already appear. You are a loud-mouthed fool and it's coming back to haunt you. Oh well.

CORRECTION:
After speaking with Mr. Parks via AIM, it would appear that he is not a member of the Maryland Police, but is instead, the owner of a company that installs lights on Police Cars. My apologies to the Maryland Police for the misunderstanding. Mr. Parks’s web signature, which includes images of police cars and a photo of what is believed to be his personal vehicle (complete with crash bars on the front end), led to my erroneous conclusion. In a further conversation with Mr. Parks, he claimed that his comments were a “Joke”. Given the irresponsible nature of his comments, it is unclear whether or not the Maryland Police will see the humor. |

I too read the comments and they were quite clear that John had deliberately caused two accidents of motorcyclists. He was quite gleeful about it, actually.
His metallic blue Crown Victoria should be considered a dangerous road hazard, despite any attempt to disguise it as an unmarked police car. In addition to color, the vehicle has two black spotlights and a push bar. |

You all have it wrong. My father is John M. Parks. He never said any of the comments that are posted on this forum or any other forum. I personally spoke with the John M. Parks that made the comments and he told us what was going on. We had not idea any of this even happened. He told us that our information was being given out through these forums. The other John M. Parks stated these comments. He shouldn't have said them but he did. My father is an avid motorcyclist himself. He would never want to see any harm come to fellow motorcyclist. Please don't go accusing him just because he has the same name as someone else. The proper authorities have been reached and a lawyer contacted. Thanks for your time. mparksintheberg@yahoo.com
