Student - there is no reason to be rude or derogatory.... If I had to guess.... Your ass is probably still living @ home with mama & daddy & don't know what the real world in this trying economy is like!
Wrong. If you only knew. Don't take the name "student" so literally. I'm no stranger to the ways of the real world, including the current state of the economy. Also, your reprimanding of me is uncalled for and unappreciated.
Speaking of the economy and my previous statement, it's going to be very difficult to get any local HVAC company to extend credit in these trying times. They are tired of getting left holding the bag. I'm not saying that the person who asked is a dishonest person, but what I do know is that most, if not all, are requiring payment in full at the time of service. That is unless you're a customer with an established history.
A personal loan is going to be the way to go if your pocketbook can't handle a couple to a few hundred dollars for repair.
Also, if you're a DIY kind of guy, crawl underneath the house or in the attic space yourself and assess the situation. It really doesn't take much to replace some flex that been destroyed by animals, tape up some joints, or replace some hanging straps.
Good luck to you!
