done with branson
Midland, TX

I have lived from coast to coast and never in my life have I lived in such a crooked corrupt town as Branson. I have lived and worked in Branson for five years now.

Year one, theatre closed early, never paid anyone their last five weeks of pay.

Second year, hired to run lights at a theatre, so I turned down another offer. Four days later found out the position was only for one week until the other lighting guy made it back from Germany.

Year three, cops raided my house by mistake, wrong address. They did over $3K damage to door and furniture. They had my wife and I at gun point, and shoved my 3-year-old face first into the floor. No apologies, no compensation.

Also in year three, my last three paychecks from Chug-a-lugs bounced totally over $2K in losses.

Year four, theatre closed without notice, never got paid for the last two weeks.

Year five, contract breeched 4 days into the season. 14 hours added per week without compensation, benefits cut, responsibilities added. I asked about this and was terminated two days later.

There will be no year six.

I am out of this corrupt town.

Never met such a clan of thieves in my life.

If you like Branson, keep it. I am done.

I agree-Branson is getting WORSE all the time
Why is this happening ? Is it because of GREED ?
AND THE LOVE OF MONEY ?

This is Joey Riley speaking. I am from Wylie Texas
I am thinking about leaving Branson and going back to my Texas home.

I am a fan of branson. I do not live or work there so I don't know the downfalls of that. I have seen Joey Riley show and loved it too. Watched him many times, how he does not move back to texas....to far to drive to see my man, joey.

Put a fork in Branson; it's done. More and more people who live, work, and play in Branson are realizing the realities.

have to agree with m mama; look at this topix board and then other cities in area...not near the constant negative blogging and attacks on people. So 'sad but true' may have the name of the day!! lol ( I like 'rings on her fingers too) And now we have to deal with K Kamp which will, fair or not, have the potential to hurt us even more.

What cave did you just crawl out of?
K Kamp can cost up to thousands of dollars
per child and is filled months and months
before the season begins.

You want issues? type in ... A V A

I don't know the hot tub story ... would be a shame if it were true but you need to get over yourself.

Incognito, if you are replying to me, I believe you made my point about the attacks and general hostile tone of our forums. It can and does make people who might want to come here stop and pause.

With respect to K Kamp, I am well aware of it's draw, and my family, in a few months, will (hopefully) have the birth of a 3rd generation to attend. My point, which was not well made in my previous post, was not that K Kamp will suffer but the issue has the ability to hurt the whole area with those who don't know the good, no great things the camps have done.

My comments were made after viewing the posts for a few months, and I never posted fearing a rebuke such as yours, so I will go and get over myself.

Incognito, thouhgt I should further clarify before I leave to take your sage advice. The better thread to make my post might have been one titled "Glad I researched Branson before moving". Upon further review, it seems to me that MidLandTXman brought alot of his problems with him and should find a place where he can deal with them.

Ten generations? I could use words that remind me of the movie Deliverance but I'll play nice and won't.

ANd no matter how long your family has existed in the Branson area, it doesn't make any forums about Branson "your" forums.

Seek deliverance if you will, but most natives are too busy for all of these code reds. "SuZ", didn't count the generations, but best I can understand 1860 something. We've been a pain here ever since.

Branson MO will always be a Family Vacation destination. You just have to know how to pick your place to stay. Find you a family run resort that offering goods deals like Bristol Falls the place we stayed last time we went. Treat the help like they're people to you'll have a fantastic stay.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Aquarius

Diplomacy is your middle name today, so make the most of it while it lasts. It will be just what you need if you've been waiting for the right time to raise a tricky topic with you-know-who, and it will also come in handy if you're caught up in a potentially sensitive conversation with someone and you want to extricate yourself as smoothly as possible.
