Divorce is only a sin in the eyes of men, who knows what your god thinks. Pretending you do is a sin however.

Here is what I don't understand. If this is really a fight against government regulating the personal relationships of its citizenry, why then are you fighting for government endorsement?

Should the fight be about "getting the government out of your bedroom" (as you like to say) and not inviting them in?

There is no Constitutional right to marriage, heterosexual or otherwise, as such there is no enumerated power granted by it to the government to regulate it. The Federal Government has no regulatory control over marriage.

The state on the other hand, does not need the authority of the Constitution to regulate marriage, they are free to do so as long as the citizens of said state agree, and the federal government is unable to interfere. This includes the judiciary.

So, to those who claim to be conservatives and wish to deny same sex marriage, you are full of it. You aren't a conservative, not even close. You may be evangelical, but you aren't conservative. Being conservative is being in favor of limited government, and fighting for government control over the personal relationships of citizens is NOT limited government, and it is hardly conservative.

Now to those who claim to be liberal, you fail as well. You claim to want liberation from the government, the freedom to do as you choose without the consent of government. Begging for a marriage license so as to be acknowledged by the government you wish to free yourself from is hardly liberal. You have not only invited the government into your bedroom, you have opened the door and turned down the bed with a nice mint. You have invited the government to regulate your relationship, and you have hardly gained any "freedom".

Gay people are not fighting for government endorsement, just equal treatment. If that requires the government's intervention so be it. The question is why do others feel that Gay people are some how less deserving of equal treatment. Marriage is not a constitutional right, for any one. Equality is.

The conversation involving this is from a religious perspective. Go back a few and catch up. We are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of the Lord, but that doesn't mean we should not strive to quit the sin that is holding us back.

It is called 'legal' recognition and equal rights to benefits that comes with that recognition.
So being a conservative, you would wish to end the legal marriage recognition for all? Lets decrease government by eliminating FBI, DEA, Homeland Security and roads maintenance to just name a few on the national level. Then go down to the local level and eliminate law enforcement, fire department, municipal utilities and roads maintenance also.

You are the bitch!

A person - who allows their spur-of-the-moment negative emotional reactions to play far too large a role in their dealings with others.

The most recognizable characteristic of a bitch is a high volume of largely unmerited complaints about others. To qualify for bitchhood, these must be a conspicuously frequent feature of their conversation, and must strike most non-bitches as exaggerated if not completely unwarranted, at least occasionally to the point of making a big deal of things that strike most others as completely innocuous.

Yes "clyde", that is you... A BITCH, and most of the ones on here who support your perversion.

Sorry but you are NO better than any gay man or women,as a matter of fact you are beneath them being you are a human cock roach to put it in layman's terms in order for you to better comprehend you knuckle dragger!

Many ex-gays are afraid to come out of the closet because of the harassment they will receive. The tactics of gay activists are to go after anyone who comes out publicly as ex-gay, force them back into the closet, and then claim that ex-gays don't exist because there aren't any out in public. For example, see:

PFOX is not an anti-gay organization – we are a pro-ex-gay organization. All people should be treated with dignity. We respect the opinions of others, even if they disagree with us. Indeed, we do not ask for their approval – only their tolerance.
What is the ex-gay movement?
Equality Virginia demanded that Washington DC Metro remove PFOX’s subway billboards advocating tolerance for ex-gays.
An ex-gay volunteer staffing PFOX’s exhibit booth at the Arlington County, Virginia Fair was physically assaulted because he refused to recant his ex-gay testimony. Wayne Besen, a former spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, falsely reported that the assault had never occurred.
After speaking at an ex-gay conference, Michelle McKinney-Hammond lost her programming on a broadcast station because Besen made good on his threat to complain to the station about speakers making appearances at ex-gay events.
Bash Back!, a gay group that retaliates against heterosexuals who vote against genderless marriage, can be seen in this video screaming and chanting against an ex-gay meeting held at a Boston church -- http://www.youtube.com/watch... This incident is cited in a federal complaint filed against Bash Back for intimidation – see paragraph 68 of the legal filing at http://www.alliancedefensefund.org/UserDocs/M...
After writing a letter her local newspaper as a concerned citizen, Crystal Dixon was terminated from her job as an Associate Vice President of Human Resources for Toledo University. An African-American, Dixon challenged the civil rights comparison of race with homosexual behavior. Dixon’s letter also revealed that some gay people have overcome unwanted homosexual feelings, as evidenced by the growing popularity of PFOX and other ex-gay organizations.
This irrational phobia of those who have overcome unwanted same-sex attractions perpetuates misunderstanding and harm against the ex-gay community. It also demonstrates a disregard for diversity and a refusal to respect a basic human right to dignity and self-determination.
Why do gays hate ex-gays so much?
Gay activist organizations instruct their members to reject ex-gays and homosexuals who refuse to self-identify as "gay." This rejection is a form of heterophobia that can be overcome with education and outreach. Gay activists cannot claim sympathy as victims when they victimize their own. We should all be tolerant of each other regardless of our sexual orientation. Homosexuality has multiple causes and people have experienced it differently in their lives. If a gay person's sense of well-being is dependent on all other people with same-sex attractions having had the same experience that they did, then that person is in a dangerous place. In fact, this is what has caused persecution of ex-gays.
Very informative.
