What some people are failing to realize is that Oscar Grant was a criminal. A low-life who, regardless of his color, was threatening the peace that night. The police are there to keep the peace. He wasn't some upstanding citizen who did community service, volunteer work, took care of his kids, etc. he was a low-life. Despite that, he didn't deserve to die but accidents happen. I'm not sure if two years is right or wrong and I'm glad I wasn't the one to decide. I do believe that society is no worse off without Oscar Grant in it.
