As I recall, she was accused of trying to cut a deal with the Justice Dept. for some Israeli spies. In return, they (the Israeli supporters) were to talk to Pelosi about Jane keeping her Intelligence Committee chair. I think that's how the story that was told unfolded...then nothing more. DO REPORT MORE if there was anything else done on this story...other than her denial, that is.

Good riddance to Jane Harmon. The way she hid from her constituents during the fall break, and didn't have any public forums, was pathetic. Her voting record totally ignors the will of the people.

As an independent, I would rather have someone like Pete Kesterson as my Congressman...someone who has made mistakes while trying to grow a business, learned from them, and became better for it and has dedicated his time to fight against irresponsible local governments, then someone like Harman who is too cowardly to even return to her district office during the August recess because she doesn't want to hear any noise about the HC bill. Most people in Congress are either there because of their $$$millions they inherited or married into, or because of their gerrymandered districts. Either way, they have lost touch with the fact that they are there to serve us.

Pete is honest and totally committed to improving California for all taxpayers. He works tirelessly to inform us, and he will continue to work to improve California. We need Pete!
Jane Harmon is not serving California in a way that will help us progress. Harmon is "helping" drag California down, and she will continue to do so as she has in the past. We need to retire Jane. She has done more than enough damage.

He may not hold an "office" but he is very active in the opposition of the business license increase in HB and against Measure UU in RB. I cannot think of anyone who is anymore honorable and committed to working on behalf of the American people than Pete Kesterson. He is the epitome of a Reagan conservative. I will work tirelessly on his behalf to ensure he is seated as the next congressman in the 36th district. Before you post unkind comments please come to the Beach Cities Republican Club on the third Thursday of the month at the Sizzler in Torrance to meet him. Meetings start at 7 pm. Ask him pointed questions to hear his position on matters that mean the most to you. Regardless of which side of the aisle you think you are on I believe you will join with us to take Pete all the way to Congress. Pete will work for you. He will work for all of us.

I considered voting for Kesterston, but since his positions are extremist and since he is a Palin Teabagger, I'm concerned he'll quit his office after just a few months, like Palin did.

So it's Harmon or Winograd for me also.

I don't think a Republican can win in this district anyway. Only 12% of people are still willing to call themselves Republican. The far-right talibangelicals have taken over the grand old party. Those people have glassy goat eyes.

I'm a conservative Republican, but I just don't know about Pete.

His website says he was born in Hollywood, Florida. That's not what I call being from around here.

And it says he worked in the music industry for years and years. Everyone knows there's a lot of drugs and sex in that industry and I just don't like it. I don't think we need that kind of person in goverment.

His website also says that he worked for years for Roland Corporation--that's a JAPANESE company! Why can't he work for an AMERICAN company? Is he some type of socialist republican?

Add in all those bankruptcies, and I just don't see a financially conservative person, or one who can manage our budgets.

There just don't seem to be any competent reasonable republicans anymore.
