Torrance Transit has gone to Hell ever since they but that Kim Turner in Charge of the place!
She refused to hire causing shortages and no bus service! No wonder the driver snaped! |

Is there a certain procedure that bus driver have to follow when it comes to addressing the passengers, especially minors? Isn't there a security button or phone they have to use when a passenger is causing problems? It appears to me that the bus driver should not have left his seat. The paper says that the student rode for 15 min., where was that drivers mind that he didn't see this student. And last of all, where was this drivers professionalism when the student was leaving the bus and he pushed him out of the door? I guess it went out of the door with the student.

I saw it on k cal 9 news videos, caught on tape, public bus brawl. |

Interesting, WE don't know anyone named Ronnie, and this is my nephew. Jamel is not on probation and never has been. Who ARE you? And not one time has race ever been an issue. My family simply wants to know when the law started allowing grown men to beat on 13 year olds? It CLEARLY shows on the tape (and based on my nephew's word, which I believe) that he is CALMLY sitting with his hands in his pockets as the bus driver is standing over HIM and berating HIM. |

Time and time again its always the same thing. Young blacks need to learn respect, and when just about every robber, burglar and murder act the same and wear the same clothing they get what they deserve. These days when blacks are killing and robbing its no wonder he was not treated with kid gloves.

Heres a solution to this problem - Torrance should quit going to an from Carson ! That would not only make the buss drivers afer it would make the whole city safer !

The law makes no age distinction when an adult must defendt themselves against a minor. Even if the bus driver 'threw the first punch' if the SUSPECT had a stated intent and present ability to harm him the VICTIM had the right to protect himself from being struck. |

Where exactly is BLACK in the rainbow? Try an analogy that WORKS. No one should have to put up with single digit IQs either. |

a little criminal in the making. juvies wearing hoodies should be shot on sight.
|
Well said. Why do posters insist on the character assasination of people they do not know. |
|
Wow. You should be this driver's lawyer. A forty-something year old man was defending himself against a junior high kid by throwing the first punch? We're so caught up in courtroom jargon and technicalities, and what we can get away with thru legal loopholes, we don't even know (or care) what's right and wrong anymore. Now I'm not condoning this kid talking disrespectfully to the driver, but if I were an honest kid who was being wrongfully accused of stealing a ride (and not in a very calm manner it sounds like), I'd be pretty P.O.'d too. |

Some of you people are nuts. "Edited video"??? Get real. Some of the Torrance Bus drivers are very rude and act like they own the road. There is one bus - Torrance Transit, please check into this - who drives east on 190th everday about 4:45 or so. The right lane is closed down just west of Crenshaw to allow employees to exit onto 190th. This Bus driver knows this and yet everyday he drives in the right lane as far as he can (no bus stops here at all) and then pushes in front of drivers that have been in the middle lane waiting their turn. He is rude and today I will get his bus number and call you tomorrow Torrance Transit.

I feel sorry for the person or anyone who has to put up with you. Your already in a prison of your own. sadddddddd! |

Torrance Transit does have some of the worst drivers. And the City of Torrance is always paying out for claims against them. Trust me....it is more than you think. I have personally been cut-off abruptly by these drivers who think they own the road.

At the same time, I haven't seen the video and obviously I don't know the kid at all, but from reading the story it sounds like he was tryin to put up a demeanor of bein a badass, keepin his hoodie up inside the bus and all. Of course I don't think all kids in hoodies should be shot like the guy above me, but these kids need to understand that if they want to dress and act like a "G", then be ready to be tested and treated like one. Too many kids these days think dressing like a thug is just a fashion statement and acting hard is just acting cool, but in LA, you will get tested sooner or later. How many times on the news have we seen parents crying and totally baffled that some gangbangers would ask their innocent son where he was from? Well, unfortunately, even answering "nowhere" can get you shot. So best to not even give them a reason to ask you where you're from by wearing the wrong type of clothes or displaying the wrong type of demeanor. The days of the cool, tough-guy rebel are over. There's only killers left. |

for all of the simple-minded individuals who want to condemn this child. the story lets you know he paid and was sitting on the bus for a good fifteen minutes. The bus driver just didn't notice him. So hoodie or no hoodie he must have been riding pretty quietly not to be noticed. It could be an honest mistake on the bus drivers part not really paying attention that the kid was there. But for him to park his bus, confront the kid and start an actual fistfight with a child is totally unacceptable. For you ignorant folks who want to throw the race card, lets hope your kids always have a smooth ride...

As I said in my first post, I totally agree that the driver was in the wrong. My last post was just an off-topic observation I guess. Like I said, I don't know the kid. He may have just put up his hood because he was really tired, depressed, whatever. But if he is one of those kids that wants to play the role, but doesn't want to have to back it up, yadda yadda yadda. |

Common sense if what you are saying is something you really believe, then you are absolutely despicable. I don't what to be rude, but there is no other way I can put it. BTW , I believe in free speech in all, but still there are no excuses for your word choice.

Wow...I have been wearing hooded sweatshirts all my life. Way before they were fashionable and called "hoodies". Maybe you were kidding or perhaps you would be more comfortable in RED CHINA. |
|
|
This is his first time. Don't act as if you know him!!
