I don't think you ever get closure from an arrest... I think you (the victim, family, and friends) have a chance at justice. Closure is word that makes it appear the horrific event is over....but you always mourn the people who have been lost. Their birthdays and holidays brings back the loss of not having them with you. There is really no such thing as closure, it is nothing more than a highly over rated term used by the media... One moves on and pain will lessen but it is never over and done with....

The dude lives on Carnegie? He's been living around the corner from the bar this whole time...driving by the billboard every day on Artesia?

I just hope this is the right guy, and they have all the evidence they need. If the family gets closure that is a bonus.

Sorry to say that the closure won't be for a long time yet. First they have to battle with their emotions for what the trial will produce, and how they'll have to deal with the stupid, vapid and inexcusable defenses offered by any lawyer willing to side with the POS who killed Cori.
I hope that the family gains strength from each other and focuses on what work needs to be done now, it is a hard path. Thankfully, there are many organizations providing assistance and counseling from those that have been through it already. Hopefully the family and friends of Cori have been in contact and found the support they need to steel themselves for what will come.
Mr. Desmond, you are to be commended for your diligence and undying love for Cori as well as your drive to see this thing through. I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts even more in the upcoming days knowing too well the flood of emotions that may descend.

You are right. What I meant was knowing that the scum that did this horrible thing to this poor girl would be held accountable would allow for closure in this one area. It is obvious that she will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.
