About time RPD uses their weapons. They need to take up some training with SBPD on sooting a suspect. Shoot to kill, not to wound. And to everyone that will be upset with my comment, just imagine this was your home they were robbing.

Ex Cons - Gang-bangers - out of town night time burglars. Now that's a recipe for serious consequences! Redlands Police Officers responded and responded with excellent proficiency.
Next time someone wants to complaint about the Department, remember this incident and many other similar ones where our Officers put themselves in Harms Way and do what's expected of them.
The days of Redlands being known as a sleepy affluent town have long past. Serious criminal elements are targeting and have targeted Redlands for sometime now. The PD needs community backing, information, and willingness to standup when necessary beside them!
Officers,thank you all.

Good news is that they hit the moron and not a blindman, dentist or octagenerian. Hope they find a weapon! I agree if this was SBPD or SBSO we would be holding a car wash.

They should have buried the nose of the gun in the parolee's anus and blown his rectum through his nose.

Then wrap a wire around his balls and plug it in at the apartment.

I'd like to see him dismembered with his head stuck on a pike in front of Safety Hall. Put his body on stakes at the City limits. And feed his guts to the dogs at Animal Control.

That'll teach other miscreants not to putz with RPD.

No such luck. He was released the same day to be booked. No permanent injury.
