Free reign on the use of city employee credit cards with no accountability plan in place! The people definitely do need TRUE LEADERS in this town! Too bad they didn't let Chief Bueerman have the city managers job! I suppose they were afraid he might find out the truth behind what is really going on with the city employees. What is wrong with these people? September 11, 2001 happened almost 7 years ago and they STILL didn't get it. RIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE OF THE PEOPLE IS THE ONLY SOLUTION, AND THAT CALLS FOR RIGHTEOUS LEADERS!

After 9-11, President Bush said that "The old way doesn't work." The old way is incompetence, and that is what we have in this city council, and city manager along with corruption! Intelligence failures resulting from a lack of "integrity" hurt our country on 9-11, yet people like them still don't get it that they need to do what is right-serve the people and not their greedy self interest.Their motives are wrong and so they make the wrong decisions. They are trying to compensate for their past mess ups and ended up hurting the public and they also dismantled our fire department and replaced necessary personnel who risk their life to save other peaoples life-people like you and me-with jobs of lesser importance. Many innocent people are being hurt by what they have been doing. we need people of good character in office to do the job right. Voting them out is necessary if the people of this town want what is best for the people. They were hired and elected to serve the people and failed terribly to do so, and they are still making wrong decisions for the simple fact that-THEIR MOTIVES are ones of self interst.

Your 9/11 referance is completely out of context and out of line with the artical in the paper.

Cindy,

Don't bother replying to Debra Nester if you don't plan on agreeing with her. You will be labeled a city employee, then you will be called names (only as a test), then you will be written off as evil.

Intelligence failures result in innocent people being hurt-as in 9-11. The lack of intelligence in our city council et al has resulted in innocent people's lives being put in danger. Again-go get an education! It might help enlighten you.

Holy Crap!!!

Even after you said she would do it and even after she responded to your posting Redland Guy, Debra did exactly as you said and insulted me, telling me to go get an education.

Who do you think you are, Debra!!!

EDUCATED. I was stating the truth-you are obviously not in the know about what's what and an education might help enlighten you. No put down lady-just the facts. Interpret it any way you want, but my suggestion to you is to avoid any trouble for yourself and stay out of the conversation going on with redands guy. There are things you are not aware of there that I am, so do yourself a favor. of course, you don't have to, but only for your sake I suggest you take my educated advise.

The article in the paper said nothing of corruption or as you put it, a free reign of use of city employee credit cards. It did say that the city needed to produce a written version of its credit card policy so that it could be legally binding. And what does the Chief of Police have to do with anything? And according to the article, the city treasurer has not been found guilty of anything yet.

You are comparing the tragidy of 9/11 (a tragidy in which my husband lost a nephew at ground zero) with an article in local paper about a report inwhich no wrong doing was even proven!!!!!

And you claim to know things that I am not aware of. Well then enlighten me. Show me how 9/11 compares to ANYTHING that could be going in the City Halls of Redlands, California.

I am sorry for your loss as my family lost friends also. You must have missed a lot of city council meetings to not know what I am talking about. At the last one, the person who made the recommendation said there was no accountability plan in place. That is why she recommended one. The council and city manager repeatedly said the city is broke, and then turned around and gave the city manager over 20k in a raise. His salary is over240k plus he gets 800$ a month for gas, cell phone, and 1 other thing. Corruption is apparent. They then turn around and made the police department,(who has a proven shortage of funds to hire enough officers), to cut 660k from their budget, and they made the fire department cut 680k from their budget. The total pay for the fire fighters came to 680k. The fire chief would have had to cut out all his fire fighters or the alternative was to take it from his top command. The very command force that trains and oversees the firefighters. Anywhere he took the cuts from would result in an insufficient fire force whereby innocent lives would be endangerd. Therefore, being the honorable man that Fire Chief Drabinski is, he was left with no choice but to cut from his top command as he could not cut from the fire fighters, and so knowing that he could not be responsible for endangering the lives of innocent people, he was left with no choice but to resign as any righteous person would. The city council and city manager knew this when they demanded the cuts. It was a deliberate and dirty tactic on their part. The city council ignored the study proving that our fire department was being run on an already tight budget. Then, the city council took those funds and created new positions of lesser importance. Those people are endangering both the public and the public safety personnels lives, with no concern for anyone but themselves. In light of 9-11, our counrty MUST be on top of what is going on and ensure that ALL of our public safety departments are provided the funding necessary to protect the people. There is a lot more I know, but I am not free to discuss it here. I am concerned for the safety of the people of this country. We are a nation at war. There has been major discussion on other posts related to what goes on in city hall. We need righteous people who will ensure the funding to our public safety personnel. Not a bunch of crooks, which is what we have.

as far as the credit cards are concerned, no accountability plan in place gave them free reign to do whatever they wanted to with no accountability to the people. The issue with the treasurer was just one issue of many going on with that council, and I believe he knows there is a lot more than meets the eye going on with that council. As far as redlands guy goes, he had beliberatly distracted from the above issue and instead went on many posts bashing me. He is in no way concerned about the truth. You were uninformed and fell for his ploy. That is why I suggested you get an education. You made an erroneous assumption. he is only doing this to try to discredit me. He must be one of them or doing this on their behalf. I suspect the later. There is a lot more to this than you apparently know. I have been trying to get people to go see for themself what this city council is doing-go to the city council meetings and watch them as I have for a long time. People need to come together and stop the atricities this council is putting. Redlands guy has been attempting to sabatoge my attempt to get people to unite against the injustices at city hall bt discrediting me. You were the foolish, uninformed person who fell for it. That is why I suggested you get an education so you learn to stop making erroneous assumptions. There has been a lot of people on many other posts talking about this yes, incompetent AND inept city council. You definitely are not one whi is in the know about what is going on right under your nose. I suggest you get involved and stop backing up a man who has no concern for our public safety personnel nor for this American citizen who has the guts to stand up for them.

That's not true. There was a policy. It just wasn't put in writing. There is a written policy in place now.

Where did you get this information, by the way.

Matt is right. This is not true. I, along with may field employees, carry a City issued Home Depot credit card and every purchase is tracked. The billing comes into finance with our names printed on the transactions. There is no FREE REIGN.

Cindy, 9/11 was a tradgic loss. My sympathies to your family.

As for the postings of Redlands Guy, read them for yourself, then decide who is credible and who is not.
