Just more proof that the SC is bought and paid for by Talibangicals
and The Grand Old Party. AFter all, the constitution says you can't discriminate based on sex, race or RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION as an employer. Basically the SC took a bigshit on the Constitution....AGAIN!!!!

I find it hilarious that the SC ruled that the Government should stay out of matters regarding the church and yet they ruled on a matter regarding a church. The irony and hypocrisy is beyond astounding.

May Karma have big plans for this Supreme Court.

This is a GIGANTIC SMACKDOWN of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

And the EEOC too!

An UNANIMOUS DECISION is a scar the lower court will never forget.

How so? Church and State are separate. Now you want those two co-joined? Make up your mind. Damm liberals are fcuking flaky as shit.

As to your other comment "GOP". Ummm you do know Skippy that half the court is liberal. Right? LMAO! And the vote was UNANIMOUS, that means ALL THE MEMBERS of the court, LIBERAL and CONSERVATIVE, voted to UPHOLD the Constitution.

GOOD For the SC. You whiners can't have it both ways, If Religion can't be in government Than government can't be in religion Therefore the government can't tell the church how to run itself.

How is it a "smack down" of the EEOC? Again CHURCH and STATE separate. Are you, like xOxO, advocating that CHURCH and STATE should be co-joined? I truly wish you liberals would make up your mind.

Good god, another horrible decision by the current crop of idiots occupying the nation's highest court. So churches don't even have to follow the law or rules of employment or of society in general, huh?

Makes me think that their next decision will be to confirm that Sharia can indeed be the law in Muslim communities. Why not?

Sickening.

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

The burden is on Congress to stay OUT of religion <period>.

So you to do not want the Church and State(Government) separate. But you are against religious laws. You are being contradictory. I would think that the SC upholding the US Constitution, Church and State separate, would have you in the streets applauding. Now you are upset. So obviously you believe Church and State should be co-joined.

It is Congress who makes the law. And Congress CANNOT make ANY law regarding religion.

It is misleading to think that there is a "separation of church and state". Read the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (it simply states that Congress can make NO law regarding religion)

How does insisting that the employment laws apply to churches as well as businesses either establish religion or prohibit its exercise?

You just have this little debate with yourself, since either you can't figure out what I'm saying or you aren't honest enough to do anything but invent strawmen.

Our Founders most definitely believed there was a separation of church and state, Jefferson even spoke of a "wall of separation." You clearly don't know much about American history or the framers of the Constitution.

A religious organization cannot be forced to associate with people who behave contrary to the beliefs of their faith.

We are protected by the Constitution and NOT what someone "believes" someone else should have incorporated into the document.

The Supreme Court looks to clarify the intent of the Constitution (and amendments). Since the words "wall of separation" are NOT IN the Constitution, the Supreme Court decides based upon what actually IS IN the document.

Right, which part of that escapes you? Now you are all upset because the Church fired someone for their religious beliefs. So is the Government to dictate to the Church their religious laws? Or is the Church to be separate?

Would you mandate that the Mormon Church be forced to employee a Muslim? Or a Christian Church to employ a Muslim? Or a Muslim to hire a Christian or Jew? The government does not, and should not, have a say in these matters.

I fully applaud the SC for a UNANIMOUS decision in defending the US Constitution.

Church or no church, you can't fire an employee based on religious beliefs. If the church can break laws like this, then they can murder bad members because what, they are above our laws? Nope.

That's not what I say, that's what the Constitution says
and by the way, the words "Separation of Church and State" are not found in any part of the Constitution. That is a quote of Thomas Jefferson. The theory has worked well for 200 years and only since Bush came in office and shoved Jesus down our throats, has our government gone down hill.

God and Government don't mix especially in a society based on FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Unfortunately, a large number of southern Christians are uneducated and clueless and don't even know what the Constitution says because they can't read all the big "elitist" words in it. What a joke.

Not surprising that Christians feel they are above the laws of this country. Most of you idiots don't even know what the laws are. What a joke.

You are 2 IQ points short of retard.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
