Amy - Dbn Hgts Rsdt wrote: If you call records for a police report you do have to go down to the station and fill out a simple form and pay a SMALL FEE to get a copy of the report - Come on people lets use common sense here, nothing is free!- Oh, by the way they don't give out tickets for anything they can they only give them to the dumb ass people who don't know how to drive. They also make special accomidations for those individuals who break the law. Lets go back to what you said - "they should stick to their collection quotas and keep fiving out tickets for anything they can" - First, they don't have "collection quotas" and you sound retarted saying that. Second, if you get in a car accident and the responding officer decides NOT to ticket the person who hit your car, how pissed off are you going to be? Third, it's not the dispatcher's job to relay the information about an ACTIVE investigation to a civilian who could possibly be involved in the incident. How was that dispatcher to know that you were not the person they were looking for? I mean you could have been full of shit when you called the station just like you were full of shit when you posted that statement. And Finally, they are NOT collection agents but simply people who risk their lives to protect unthankful people - such as yourself - bet you weren't having these feeling last May when One of our finest Officers was killed in the line of duty, or if you ever need their assisance and they come to your aid.... Yes, nothing is free any longer, but this was a tax paying resident that ought to have been provided the information as a matter of service to the community, if they were by some means endangered or at risk they should be told at no cost. "As the wool gets pulled over the eyes the other senses should be enhanced, use your brain".

With a name like Amy im sure you will not have anything to worry about! Dearborn Heights police are the most racist police i have yet to come across! I have been living in Dearborn Heights for over 20 years, so i say so with with confidence, personal experience, and through the personal experiences of my neighbors. This is not a grudge i hold due to a speeding ticket, but one that i have due to comments made to me, my family, and even my neighbors, such as "your in america now" "if you dont like it, go back to your country" "they're americans, and its a free country","free loading bums" and many deviations of which, thank you but I know what country i am in and what my rights are! once when i was pulled over, the policeman looked at me, then at the onyx i had hanging which resembles a cross, then immediately started yelling whos car is this, had me get out and put me in the back of his car. Another time i had stopped at the gas station on warren and telegraph for some goodies when a dearborn heights policeman came in to get something to drink, and was radioing about a man who had apparently killed himself in the hines area, looked at me and said thats what you women do to us, i am sorry but that is not a laughing matter! Just the other day someone stole my car from on my driveway, while we were home, i called the police told them the front door was opened, could you make sure no-one is hiding out in the garage or basement, he said, "how would they get inside?" i said "i dont know, how did they steal my car off of my driveway, can you please check," then he did so looking annoyed and bothered. We own our house, keep up with our lawn, pay our taxes, attend neighborhood watches, and are courteous to our neighbors, and have respectful jobs in the medical field, we deserve to feel safe, and protected!

um i am not sure how to respond to that? Egypt and Isreal are at peace so the whole mid.east situation doesnt apply here. Another thing this is america My best friend that i would consider a sister to me is a full blown proud to be zionist, there's a reason we are called a melting pot, have our generations not learned anything from mistakes of past generations? It is not fair that there are like 10 muslim physicopaths that ruin it for every other muslim in the world! Its like watching Jerry Springer and saying oh thats how all americans are! But my main point is that there needs to be something done about the DHPD, how can you protect and serve, when they are the type of people we need protection from? They need a wake-up call its "protect and serve" period! not protect and serve only those with blonde hair blue eyes!

Whats your deal anyways, did you flunk out of the academy or get denied for employment their?????? Hey Amy--You sure are defending DHPD and being rude to others whos oppinion differs from your own beliefs. You are right that police have a dangerous job to do but that was thier choice. During all situations police officers must maintain a professional attitude and demeanor. Our judicial system demands individuals to be accountable for thier actions. That includes everyone!!!!!!!!! So when a police officer can get away with not being accountable then they are part of the problem and not the solution..........

Amy-Dbn Hegts Rsdt wrote: First of all, I NEVER said that your son was a POS. Second, don't comment about that officer because you don't know him. You said over 300 attended your sons funeral well over 1500 stood in salute to Jason as he was laid to rest. You asked if the "sent him to the morgue and let him lie their w/o notifying his fanily" - Carie, his family responded to that call that claimed his life alongside him. So did the media - his death was played in full across television sets. So you speak of the pain of you situation try watching your loved ones death a a television set....I wasn't turning this into a shouting match or to give your son a bad name. I have no doubt in my mind that your son was a stand up guy and I too agree with "only God can judge me" -after all one of the best rappers made that song! The point that I was trying to make was this, your family experienced a horrible loss, but it's not fair to blame the ENTIRE police dept. if you didn't like the actions of a few members of that department. Those men are individuals, the actions of one, two or three of them don't represent the actions of the entire department. And as for you not liking how I defended the department - I don't really care because their my family and I will continue to defend them until the day I die because those men and women put their lives on the line to defend us. I too have had some bad experiences with some of the officers but I sure as hell didn't take it out on the entire dept. If you want to know the cause of your sons death you should contact the morgue and ask for the report. To the father-I know exactly the pain you are speaking about - And I'm sorry you had to go through that. I agree with you 100% no one should have to deal with that sort of pain. Maybe the situation could have benn handled differently - maybe they handled it according to policy - maybe not. No one can say for sure because no one was inside that investigation. But again, you shouldn't let the actions of a few people tarnish the reputation for the entire group/department. You have every right to be pissed off and you have every right to look into the matter but I don't think that it's fair to slam the entire dept. To be completly honest with you, the corporal you singled out probably didn't have anything to do with that investigation as he is not a detective or RO. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! dbh cops ARE NOBODYS ILL BUY THEM OFF, BE GONE KICK ROCKS MONDAY BITCH!

To make a long story short a new chief and chiefs assistant is in place two very upstanding guys Amen but as for you Detective Gurka You are the one I blame for not bringing the people to Justice cause you were lazy and I even talked to you on the phone met you in person told you i had witnesses that were willing to come forward, maybe you learned something since 4+ years ago i know i have to forgive you but again this case you totally blew you sucked on this case Gurka and everything was going to be handed directly to you to make things easier but you weren't willing to cooperate.... I have friends at that department... they well i don't want to comment on what they said about how you do your job to protect their identity!! Retire, as far as Jason's loss that was trajic i always pay my respect to him in front of the bldg when i go there on occasion for business matters if anyone knows what it is like to lose someone I do not only my son's death but i am a 100% Disabled Veteran US ARMY i don't need any education on Loss thats for sure.

I was surprised to see that this page was still going. My son has been dead for over 4 years now. In the early days alot of raw emotions were at the forefront. I am much more stabel these days. However, the people that gave my son the deadly pill walked scott free from legal justice but their lives have been nothing but pure hell since the death of my son. They too lost their children. One in jail and the others taken away. The female that gave my son the deadly pill has been in trouble with the law at least twice now. Once for assault (stabbing another person) and now running from the police and assaulting an officer. All this could have been avoided if she would have had to answer for my sons death. I call all of this karma in the most wonderful way. My sons death destroyed our lives and we are lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to re-build our lives together. WE are different now. We are humble, grateful, peaceful and take life with a grain of salt these days. We are the lucky ones. We recognize the evilness and uncaring society that we live in and feel sorry for those that attack the weak. Our family now lives each and every day as if there will be no tomorrow. The painted portrait of our son hangs on our wall reminding us every day that he is no longer with us. His bright smile fills the room and we take comfort in that. I have learned that it doesn't much matter how your loved one died. All that matters is that they are no longer here with us. Not one person in this world is perfect. Hindsight is 20/20. So to all of you here that supported us during our grief, I thank you. And to those of you that were just downright evil, mean and hateful. I feel sorry for you. You have not yet learned how precious life truly is. Think of my son when you lose a loved one. Think of us when you are in your never ending grief. It will be then that you realize how ignorant you really were. PEACE!

Wow so much going on here. First of all I am sorry for the loss of anyones loved one. That being said. If the DHPD notified his wife that is his next of kin, no one else. If your son took pills given to him by some woman, he made a poor choice. Sometimes poor choices cause others heartache and grief. Sometimes they may cost you your life. As for not giving you information on the phone while a situation is going on, they are not going to! That information could endanger the responding officers. Another thing, yes sometimes officer may be "rude" or short with you. You don't know what kind of call they just came from. Could have been a domestic, child endangerment, or a fatality. Sometimes those things will change you mood. I am not saying all police officer are perfect and I never will. There are bad cops just like there are bad cashiers, plumbers, and mechanics. We really do have a very good police department.

Amy - Dbn Hgts Rsdt wrote: First of all, before you start making unwarrented statements about the Dearborn Heights police Department you should maybe think that they did follow their department procedure. It's terrible that your son was taken from your family at such a young age and I'm sorry for your loss but the statements you made about the Dearborn Heights Police Department and the Officers who proudly serve within the Department are false. I personally know each of the Officers you decided to single out and feel compelled to tell you that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. You are not a Dearborn Heights Police Officer and therefore cannot say if they did or did not follow their department protocol. Each of our Officers are very respected and highly decorated and therefore know how to do their job and know how to do it well. You said that you don't have faith in the department or it's officers, but I bet you'll change your mind when they show up to save your life or when you call for help and they respond within minutes of you call. What you've done, is judged the entire department on one misunderstanding - on what you saw and did not like. Did it ever occur to you the the Corporal you singled out had nothing to do with the investigation and therefore had no reason to respond? or Maybe he never received your letter? Have you ever heard of a phone? You could have very easily dialed his number and spoke to him! Before you sit down and decide to badmouth someone you should think twice about what you're saying and/or writing. The entire Dearborn Heights Community is very thankful for the services that we receive for the men and women who serve with the Dearborn Heights Police Department. Any you sir, you stand alone when you say that you do not have any faith in them. And for the record, the Corporal you named, was once named Officer of the year and was recently recognized for his service to the city and his dedication to the job. You see, the information you have is FALSE and the statements you made were warrentless. These Officers show up to work everyday to do their job and they know that their going to be disrespected by ignorant people, such as yourself, but they still show up not knowing what will happen to them or if that will be the last call for service they will respond to. They accepted to do a job that holds the respect of millions throughout the world, but one that not many would accept to do. They are VERY respected and you will never tarnish their reputation. <quoted text> AMY UR HUSBAND WORKS FOR DEAR BORN HTS POLICE UR MY NEIGHBOR AND UR SUCH A LYING BITCH,,,,JUST LIKE UR HUBBY ,OH AND U SAY THE WORD TARNISH ,PLZ ITS PEOPLE LIKE U THAT >SUCK OFF UR COP HUSBAND ,AND TRY TO JUSTIFY WHY PEOPLE ARE LEAVING UR CITY OF SHIT POLICE ....
