westland is not that bad, i live in redford a block away from brightmoore and see stupid shit everyday. the surrounding suburbs of metro detroit will all be affected within the next five years, westland probably next year.again like you said thanks to section 8 housing bringing a single mom with 16 kids from 12 different daddies, paid for by the government and us of course to our quiet safe neighborhoods.

Why dont the women keep their legs closed quit making babies that me the taxpayer support. I dont care if you lived in brightmore or westbloomfield. Westland has gone to crap, robberies are up, murders, carjackings. I agree section 8 ruined this city.

westland is one of the better cities in this state so why dont you be happy with what you got and worrie bout your damn selve and quit bein so damn nosy if you dont know them dont judge them

the previous mayor fucked up EVERYTHING. because of section 8 all these low life Canadians are coming in Westland dealing drugs, and starting our youth to do the same stupid shit.i'm not racist but the black community is ruining everything.westland used to be a place where i could walk around freely without a care. now i have teenagers asking me for cigarettes,alcohol,and drugs. i went to john Glenn, i have seen first hand what is happening. i agree with Dan, we all need ccw's. in fact if i don't get one when i'm 21 then i get disowned. instead of talking shit we should just start busting caps in some asses.

Westland, Livonia and Dearborn always had been nice suburbs to live and raise a family. However, They are now getting people from Detroit moving in and ruining these places. I was born in Ypsilanti and raised in Inkster as a kid thing were not bad then. Some people from Detroit started moving into some of the nice there and just destroyed them. Crime is out of control in Detroit. If residents in Westland, or any other suburb don't fight back, it will only get worse.
That is one of the reasons I left the Detroit area because of all the crap.

I lived in westland almost my hole life and it is shit now. we are all getting the hoodlum slum in are cites that we worked so hard to keep nice.its sad all of the apartments are run down and i dont even like letting my kids play outside because of the slum. we need to lock them in detroit or the zoo where they belong. shit look at the number of them in prison, there model is if you want it go take it. they live of the system and drive nicer cars than the people working hard to raise a family. i have a ccw and have had one for3 years and just waiting for one of them fucks to come and get my shit, i dare them to mess with my family. we all need to speak up and clean up the streets.

I'm new to Westland, but where I live, it's nothing like you describe thankfully.

I have to agree. I have lived in Westland for 16 years. I thought, THOUGHT, it was a good place to raise a family. It is has changed into a city that I cringe at. The groups of people moving in are deplorable. If you want to have a better life and move to our city, then don't bring your trashy way of living and please come and try to keep it nice. If I could I would move. Can't get crap for my house and am tempted like so many others to just walk away from my house for my family to have it better. Don't like that my children have to go to school and be afraid.
