Stylish Sycamore standing tall at 60

Maybe Elvis never ate at the Sycamore Drive-in Restaurant in Bethel. But plenty of his jumpsuit-wearing, pelvis-shaking impersonators certainly have.

Sorry about that...I plead not paying enough attention. Too busy thinking about the root beer float!

Meant to type:

Or a root beer float...and I'll have the cheeseburger in paradise.

Only in America can a family close up one business owes millions to employees and suppliers and turn around a few years later and buy another business! I wouldn't eat at the Sycamore if they paid me (actually I probably would since they owe us over $5000.00 in wages earned when husband worked for they years ago)! Even with the States Atty and Unemployment we couldn't get the money out of them. They are all good for nothing!!!

If the Sycamore exploded today at lunchtime, It would do everyone a favor. Although, we might lose some nice trees.

I used to go there in the 60's when
the old cars you see there today were
brand new. We all hung out there with
our Muscle cars and Motorcycles.
In the 70's there was a guy that we
used to call the "Fonz". He had a bike
and a Leather Jacket.
I remember on the menu you could get a
"Frozo" kind of a Milkshake, or a
"Black Cow" Root Beer & Vanilla
Ice Cream. They have since left the
Menu but they were good.
Everytime it changes hands the new owners are trained on how to make and
keep the food the way it was.
It still does a great business today
and it is nice to see some things stay
the same.

Brkfldslut, we don't really care about your money problems. Your husband was paid under the table, that's what he gets for cheating the system.
The food is great.
it may well be that BrkfldB*tch does substandard work, or it was unfinished.

I agree, the food is terrific. Great place!

it sounds like this d-head has a major problem... possibly because he was too stupid to even be on the wait staff or even to be on the bus staff at this fine establishment... sour grapes seems sufficient for this loser.

While I like the food and atmosphere the place is dirty. One of the frames was removed on the archway and dust and "stuff" is hanging from the wall. The place needs a good cleaning. I also noticed that the fellow who puts the burgers together doesn't wear plastic gloves--just uses his bare hands which didn't look that clean.
