Well I see the Daily News is not going to help us by calling for a public meeting.

Heads up folks.
A property that was signal free only a month ago, now has 3 bar service. Out in the middle of nowhere. Pop Sci has an article about the effects of microwave radiation on plants and trees. Like the fact that seeds don't germinate as well, and plants suffer generationally. I guess the only fields that will be free of radiation are going to be Monsanto's. |

Refuse Smart Meters - Just Say No and place a sign next to your two meters (gas and electric).
As a research analyst, I have read the data and we should be very frightened. This is another case of PG&E only looking at their profits at the expense of the health of their customers. Check out the data: http://sagereports.com/smart-meter-rf/... PG&E has earned its reputation as the least trusted company in Northern California. |

Thank you for providing the link to the Sage report. I am also a retired research engineer and senior energy mangement analyst from Seattle City Light. My review of the document indicates there "may" be violations of FCC safety limits for RF in applications in close proximity to humans. This suggests that further study is warranted for multiple in-home transmitters with high duty cycles. However as presently deployed the PG&E meters only transmit in short bursts from one source (the electric meter) that is normally located outside and some distance from inhabitants. As such the RF exposures are certainly less than cell phones due to their proximiity to humans and their frequency of use. With regard to PG&E's trustworthiness they are heavily regulated by the CPUC and CEC that have both authorized smart meter deployments. There is a sizeable quantity of other research that suggests that the Sage conclusions, based largely upon simulated exposures, overestimate typical exposure levels. PG&E has earned a well deserved reputation as one of the most progressive utilities with respect to energy conservation, load management, and renewable energy deployment. As such your statement that "This is another case of PG&E only looking at their profits at the expense of the health of their customers" is inflamatory and without merit. |

Power cost the same at 2:00pm as it does at 2:00am. Thats like gas stations that gouge you on weekends for profit not because it cost them more. Come on and smell the roses folks...The goverment gouges you when ever they feel like it and the utilities are no different. Our bill went up the moment they installed it. I checked the old meter and when our window unit was on it read 1.93 and it now reads 2.798 on the smart meter. The Smart meter is smart enough to rip us off.
