yes, because all of our properties did have to have fallen under the bankruptcy terms, and as in our opinion we did want the property to turn into a waste land..hopefuly at some point the land will be used for something.?

Well when your looking off the mountain down into Newcomb and toward Jellico I think it's very pretty.
I wouldn't care to live up there. But I do believe that the mountain slides because my Grandpa said when they were building the interstate that it slid off several times. That sure has been alot of wasted money though.
I don't know who your grandpa was, but I lived in Jellico when they were building I-75 and they were land slides that covered some homes up. Construction was stop for about 2 year because on the add cost of slides.the company that was building it had finical diffculity because of it. and they still have slides.

Well I came thru there today and for the first time I noticed there IS a house built back there. Off to the right just before the rarity exit if you are coming north. HUGE house I might add. And I did notice the information building is gone also. Not sure how long its been gone but I travel thru the area at least once a month sometimes more.

I drove thru there today! Where is a golf course? We got off the exit and drove to the intersection of the gravel road that goes back down to Jellico, turned right, followed pavement to bottom of hill, turned left onto gravel road that led back over mountain and came out over around Morley on US 25.

If you get off the exit go around and when the road curves to the right and there is a gravel road to the left that takes you down the other side of the mountain towards Jellico. Take the left I'm not sure how far to be exact but when you see the cell phone tower on the right that is the road that takes you to it. The last time I was up there you could go out the road but its gated right at the course. Hope this helps..

I ride by there all the time going to KY from GA. I hated to see this development tearing up the mountains. Maybe I am too sentimental, but I would like to see it stay the way it is. What happened to all the money this developer was supposed to have?

Daily Horoscope for March 17

Capricorn

Discord at home may add to the pressure you face now; it seems that both the world and your family are conspiring against you. Of course you know that isn't true, but you may be supersensitive as the Moon activates your fourth house of home and family. You may need to find some time for yourself, preferably in a natural setting. Take a walk in the park or sit outside in your own backyard.
