Obama has changed his direction on numerous issues over the last 18 months. His stance on Iraq has changed. His economic package has changed, the list goes on. He still wants amnesty for Illegals. He's a good speech giver. That's all. Doesn't anyone get that. He has done NOTHING in his political career. NOTHING. He has no experience running anything (Show me proof if you disagree or shut up) and speaks about the great changes that are needed. But no one hears the specifics. None of his plans are out in the open with CONCLUSIONS. He has not released his foreign policy plans if elected and since he has no experience AT ALL in that category it's no wonder. His past associations scream problems and if you watch the news they made a great point that with his dubious associations he would not gualify today for a security clearance to work for the FBI. Yet he's trying for our highest office and no one is quesitoning him. We have to snap out of it and recognize him for what he is. A smooth talking inexperienced scammer.

While I totally respect your opinions, and you have absolute every right to have your opinion on Obama, did you even watched any of the debates? Have you read or seen on TV of what he has done in the past to help people, especially in Chicago for better jobs and housing? I respect McCain for his service and dedication to our country, but what we need is change, real change. I think the problem is that there is alot of fear of Obama, just the name itself, for some, sparks for fear. We need to be strong and open minded as a nation, and not let fear take over us, if anything, it would makes us stronger nation. JMO!

Dave, I'm guessing you posted that here because Jon has publicly supported Obama. However, if you're not going to complain about the JBJ support it seems to me that your post belongs on a board regarding Obama or politics in general.

Jon's name is mentioned in the above listed article...I think this may also show up on a Topix political forum.

As Dave said Obama made very poooooor choices of friends and associations . Since he was a young teen he`s had radical views . He is friends with William Airs a radical U.S bomber who wanted to blow up the pentagon and other U.S buildings.
. Airs has killed many people in the 70`s.Obama went to a very anti American racist church ,pastor Wright. And he claims he never heard the pastor say anything racial or anti American .Hard to believe that in his 20 years of going to that church he heard nothing . He has several other shady friends and associates .If you watch Hannnity and Colmes you`d know this .please read all about him.
He refused to wear a flag pin or pledge allegiance to the flag .
His wife said in a speach that this was the first year she was proud of this country .Why just cause her husbands running for president ?
At least Mc cain loves this country he served our country . Does`t anyone see the difference .
Obama has done nothing for our country he has absolutly no experiance . And has a huge record of over spending and radical views.
So much negative things to say about Obama .And all people care about is having a change ,a black president ,would be fine if he were qualified and trustworthy he`s had a life long of poor choices .
People read up on him and take your blinders off !!!!!!

No I only posted here because it seems that people are reading the stuff directly off Obama's website instead of researching his accomplishments. He really has none. He has no military service (Which really doesn't disqualify him), He has no history of running any type of government, He has no foreign policy experience, He has only been a working US Senator for 2 of the 4 years. 2 years now he has been running for President. His work as a Community Organizer means less than nothing. His 8 years as an Illonios Senator he voted 130 times (Present) instead of chosing sides and he has signed only 3 Bills that have actually gone anywhere. Other than that he has no experience. Add that to the people that have helped his career and the people that have shaped his beliefs and we have the wrong guy to be leading us at this serious time in the world. He can't even choose a team for the World Series without changing it when he gets to the other teams town. All of these things are verified facts. He has no experience. People aren't voting for Obama they're voting against McCain. That in itself is bad. McCain has great advisors. I say that based on how close this race is. With the economy in the state it is and the war in Iraq, Obama should win this race by a landslide. The fact that it's so close is a red flag for me and should be for everyone else.

Oh and I forgot. I'm a registered Democrat. I really wish we had a candidate that met all of the things we need. I'm not a big McCain fan by any stretch of the imagination. I do believe with all the focus coming up on Iraq, Afghanistan and the economy that McCain will stay far enough away from the Bush stuff to help us out. Obama will bankrupt us within 2 years.

Obama won it you bunch of haters!

Now, according to your rhetoric he will do nothing but bring this country down. I would argue that even if he made it rise to the best it has ever been, you would still find fault in him.

I have never seen such outward hatred for a candidate in my life. Cars on the parkway with ridiculous anti-obama signs and stickers. Fear mongering over his past relationships (as if anybody's past were completely clear of a less-than-desirable character).

Nobody would say hoot if a white candidate with past ties to the KKK in his background were running. It would kinda noticed, but not and issue really. Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-W.Va.) 50 years in the senate. He was also a KKK organizer. Not a problem. THEY LOVED HIM!

I am glad it hurts the bigoted people of the country that he won. It will take our society to the next level of accepting each other. It wont go down without a fight of that im sure. Just about 55 years ago a Black person would get arrested for not giving up her seat for a white man. Today a Black man is president and it hurts the bigoted. Just like it hurt to not be able to sit at the front of the bus.

OBAMA WILL BE GREAT! He indeed will bring a breath of fresh air into the stale walls of that white house. change it up he will and we will all be the better for it.

Hey Obama is the new President. He should get our full support. He will get mine. I hope I'm wrong about how he will handle things. It's not too bad to be wrong if the country is not hurt. If I'm right, it won't matter anyway. We'll see and good luck to us all.

I never had a problem with the color of his skin I am not racist .
I have been scared of his associations which are horrible . And also the fact that he could not get clearance to be an FBI agent .Still don`t understand how he could be president but could not be in the FBI.
But now that he is in I hope he does do well .
And hope he keeps our country safe of terrorists attacks.

It's going to be a really enjoyable day, especially if you're getting together with loved ones. You'll want the day to be a big success and you'll do what you can to make that happen.
