So, who is the winner here? The guy who has to work or lose his job, OR the guy with a choice, who CHOOSES to NOT work and loses everything. Just because you CAN strike doesn't mean it's in your best interest to do so.

Here is an article that everyone should read about what can happen when the company has had enough of union:

http://prospect.org/article/employer-strikes-...

The difference with the situation mentioned is that it is a lockout, these union members did not voluntarily walk off the job, and it is current.

The reality is this :
Constellium is not obligated to allow union member back into the plant until the contract is resolved. The company also has the right to continue to do business and hire replacement workers to fill the vacated positions, either temporarily or permanently, depending on the NLRB ruling.

The union members have the right to protest the contract offered, not get paid by the company, either receive unemployment or not - depending on the ruling, listen to the union, go back to work before replacements are brought in in order to save your position in the company.

If replacement workers are brought in, the only guarantee you have to get your job back would be a ruling from the NLRB that the strike is due to unfair labor practices, but that brings me right back to my first point, Constellium is not obligated to bring Union members back in until the contract is resolved.......

So, in the situation between 5668 and Constellium, who is going to lose? You decide for yourself...

According to the USW.org website, you are also an ex-president Obama supporter, if not in actual votes, your membership dues go toward his campaign.

I put the difference was that the workers were locked out, and I actually think it was wrong, but at least they were able to collect unemployment, where is yours.

As for the 'goon guards', the only complaint I have heard about them is that they are doing their job and not getting arrested for violence and they are getting paid

I don't need a college education to be smarter than you, I still work for money.Do you?

Fill in the blank time-see below for the link to the answer:

“_________ continues to vigorously oppose Republican-led efforts against the Affordable Care Act. It is the 33rd time in the past two years the Republicans have sought to repeal a system supported by President Obama that already benefits millions of Americans. It is reprehensible Speaker Boehner would demand a repeal of ACA, once again without any credible proposal for a replacement plan.

“According to government reports, healthcare costs have dropped in the past two years since ACA was passed, while the annual average increase of insurance premiums is slowing to provide a savings to families.

“The ACA will provide health care coverage to about 33 million previously uninsured Americans through access to subsidized, private insurance and expanded Medicaid eligibility. In many ways, the ACA is already expanding, protecting and strengthening coverage of working families.

6.6 million young adults received coverage through their parents’ plans because dependent coverage was extended through age 26.
105 million people have coverage without lifetime limits.
86 million additional Americans gained coverage for preventive services without cost-sharing.
17 million children no longer face coverage denials due to a pre-existing condition
$1.1 billion in premium rebates will benefit 12.8 million consumers under the Medical Loss Ratio rules. The average rebate will be $151 per household.
“Now that the Supreme Court has issued a decision the American people would be better served if Congress joined President Obama in working to build on the progress of our health care system.”

Who supports Obama care? I think you need to get with the right program. Don't you see where your union dues are going? You aren't supporting your own Unions ideaologies....

My political affiliations are none of ur concern, and what makes u think im on the Picketline right now ?

I make VERY good money off the Unions nor do I pay them any dues for the work I do, just because the Union supports ex presidente Obama doesnt MEAN I DO.

The Health Care bill he passed is GARBAGE as is
his Neo Nazi Socialist ideas or UTOPIA for everyone.

He is nothing more than a FAILED EXPERIMENT of having a Black President ... Enough said.

So now we are playing guess how you make your living:

Hmmmm...
1.you are a prostitute?('I make very good money off the union....)
2. You are the goon guard ('I make very good money off the unions nor do I pay dues)
3. Your boyfriend ( regardless of your gender) is union member, and he is the girl in the relationship (because of your screen name)
4. You are a republican in favor of big government
5. You are a scientist dealing in social experimentation and just let the secret out ('he is nothing more than a failed experiment)
6. You are a teenager and the word of the day for you was utopia...

Did I guess at all?

Actually, changed my name because I was on a different computer, not to hide my identity...

And see how fun the Internet is, you know as much about me as I do about you, which is nothing :) That was my point as none of the jobs I listed really had anything to do with belonging to the union.

I don't need to fight for my rights, that was done years before my time, just like everyone else, I benefit from them.

I don't need to attack your views and opinions to disagree with them, nor was I the one to first resort to name calling and assumptions. You may not be in a union, but your tactics to call names and your truth is just that, your truth, not necessarily THE truth. There is a difference.

And as for West Virginia mentality, what would that be? I am assuming you are insulting people who live in West Virginia, I hope that makes you feel superior....

As for the state of the government, well, what can I say? It has been messed up since the beginning of this great country. The government has been run by the rich, for the rich and may the side with the most money win. I would be classified as very independent.

And if being able to use full words are part of my 'West Virginia mentality', I guess I am more advanced in education than you.......maybe, but we don't know each other, so I promise not to judge, unless you want me to.....

You, dear person, are the one that can't handle the truth!
