What I think is really funny is that the union workers still think it's only about them. They have no idea what it means to the surrounding towns to have the plant operational on both sides. That importance alone should weigh heavy on those workers to try to work out something to save the towns. It's like they've not looked outside since Century closed and haven't seen the devastation that only one side of that plant closing caused. Now they are doomed to repeat as a result of around $30 a paycheck that doesn't even start for 3 years. What a shame. They spend more than that a paycheck on beer. The real victims are the workers that want to work, but feel loyal or pressured or scared of their union to cross and get any paycheck possible to feed their families. I do actually feel sorry for them.

Of course my man won't cross the line because those idiots picketing would make it hell on him now and having to work with them everyday when this is over. It sad so many families are suffering over this. People want to say the workers there are lazy, some are, yes, but not all. It's not fair to the actual men and women there who really work for their pay.

What you say is true. But the good ones are never noticed. Those who feel violence is the answer are the ones that are. This could be settled peaceful but they don't want it. But this time they do not have the backing and support of the community. And their violence will be met with the same. They need to realize this

They don't know how good they have it, huh? Let's see. They work in the heat during the summer and the cold during the winter. There are chemicals in the air. Loud noises causing hearing loss. Extremely dangerous equipment - which is reason for better insurance seeing that a serious injury can happen at any time. They don't get to sit in a climate controlled living room 24/7 as they suck the governments tit. They don't work in a climate controlled room where they sit answering phones all day. Most of the employees are men - who can't shove out spawn and sign up for a medical card. And the workers are only thinking about themselves? Of course they are. You don't go to work bc you're thinking about giving your paycheck to someone else. You work to make money for yourself and your family, but unfortunately you're also paying for people that are too selfish to get a job of their own. I don't see half of the poor little surrounding towns citizens working. And don't even act like you would be working for a paycheck to just go and give the money to a poor little family in need. You would cash the damn thing and go get your large sweet tea and big mac from mcdonalds and then thumb your nose at a starving homeless person. Since these "idiots" aren't working to pay for all of these citizens, I suggest you start going door to door and offering to pay some electric and grocery bills.

And for being citizens that are so dependent on the workers, you sure are being ridiculous with the things you are saying about them...you don't deserve their making an agreement any time soon.

The community knows its over if you dipshits shut the the last economic influx down. Pay up or go to school. The community will bear the brunt of your idiocy. The evidence is clear with the rampant Century economic fallout. It's not about you. If your are uneducated, have no marketable skills and voted no, you belong on welfare.

u don't have a clue new hires get no pension and the 401K has a 2% and no health insurance when they retire so they won't ever b able 2 retire and after 5 yrs when this contact expires they lose everything so they don't have anything 2 lose by being on strike cause if they take this contract they are going to lose it all anyway i am sure kyle is making some big plans how he is spending his bonus think i heard he was getting his son a new $50,000 sports car

401(k) means it is invested in a market. The company can NEVER take it away from you even when they are gone and out of business. Pensions have nothing to do with insurance. If this company closes none of you will have anything, just like when Century closed.

Everyone is bitching the company is lying and not being reasonable. What are you asking them for that they won't just reasonably give it to you? I hear maintain 100% coverage and 4% wage increases per year. Is this true? If so, you guys ARE crazy, you'll drive that plant into the ground it will be just like Century, closed.
