Once again the fear seems to be yours. Your ability to show how little you know is also impressive. If you read Roberts Rules of Order you will know why it wasn't brought up monday and also why the union is out of order on not allowing a vote

so you give yourself up and you do know that it has to be on the agenda to be brought up at a special meeting. that is why we are going to take back at the regular meeting teusday were it is an open agenda and all items can be brought up. this will be done correctly by us and not against the rule.

Bull, you can demand a vote at anytime. Why do you guys let yourselfs be lead around like bulls with rings in your noses? The local USW 5668 is the least respected local with the USW International. The International does not support this stike just check their website. I think soon they will force a vote.

What are you reading on usw.org there is very little on the strike at this time. you can call for a vote but not on an out of order motion which the motin not to vote was, because it was diring a special meeting and not on the agenda, this rule is in place to protect members from just what happpened
Let them VOTE

Your Union has NEVER protected YOU! YOU pay them dues and they cost you your job! Either deal with it or get over it....no one feels sorry for what you ALLOW them to do!

Lie and cheat is what the union does best. Remember Jimmy Hoffa?

Boys, boys, shush and listen. hear those orders you are not filling being sent to the other factories to be filled...in the Netherlands?

Hear the the boys over there thanking you for all the overtime pay? Hear the company officials hastily making arrangements to make PERMANENT changes such as plant closing and recovering their loss by choosing a more reliable and LESS COSTLY location. Can you spell CHINA? Sure you can, it is on your clothes that used to be made in AMERICA. It is on all your shoes that used to be made on Logan, OHIO USA. Talk to the TWUA about the American Viscose that did employ over 5 times your number.

And finally, ask yourself this: If there is no factory jobs at all, do we really NEED a union? Where IS the TWUA in Parkersburg?

You are not stopping the factory but you might be running them away. Ask the thousands of former employees of Cols Coated Fabrics (now a parking lot)and Timkins Roller Bearing (also a parking lot)and Federal Glass and and Anchor Hocking Glass and I could list scores more where boys from three states uprooted and moved to for jobs because there were none in WVA.

Where will YOU find work? ANY work? I made more than you did (yes DID) while doing factory work. Now I work two minimum wage jobs and STILL cannot live as I once did. ps. I do save a little by not needing to pay union dues.

You know...I love it when people LOVE to give their opinions on subjects they are totally clueless about (Constellium vs Union). Unless you or your loved one has worked at this company then you have no idea what you're talking about!!! And for those of you who are running your mouth about taking their jobs because they have the gumption to stand up for what they feel is right, too bad you're not out fighting to find your own job instead of trying to get someone elses. You want a job that someone else has already paved the way for better wages and benefits. Unless people are willing to stand up to the company for their benefits all employers will coup the rewards of having a bunch idiots working for them while they are raking in millions of dollars in bonuses each year while the people who deserve it are making minimum wage. SO YEAH, I'M PROUD OF MY MAN FOR STANDING UP AND BEING COUNTED AND NOT RIDING ON SOMEONE ELSES SKIRT TAIL!!!

After Constellium goes the way of Century, make sure you cast your Democratic vote for Obama. After he is re-elected, he'll close all the coal mines. Our new State Slogan..West Virgina, Closed for Business!

Did this person just call the striking workers a "bunch of idiots" and that they are working for minimum wage?

I know for a fact that steel workers command a premium wage of at least three times minimum wage.

If the mill would hire me as one who helped pave the way for all who follow, I submit that I picked beans in that fertile bottom land for 65 cents a bushel. Of course that was before they built factories there. I wonder if they will plant more beans next year....when the factory moves to one of the three locations being considered? Of course there will be almost 600 bean pickers looking to take my job. History DOES repeat itself.

History teaches us more about life than any other topic taught in our schools. Take the region near the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers. Huge factories flourished there once. Families reaped the benefits from names such as The Viscose which employed thousands during the period of WW2 and Korea. Everybody recalls the others: AB Chance, O. Ames which made shovels for the military during three wars, Vitro-Agate (the Marble factory), Corning, Owens-Illinos, and several others that are now only memories.

How can we prevent adding one more name to that huge list? The answer might be in this riddle:

If you own a large dairy farm and all the cows stop producing milk, what should you do to prevent losing all that you have invested?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Pisces

You're raring to go today, especially on domestic projects. You'll achieve a tremendous amount if you're allowed to proceed at your own pace and in your own time, but you'll soon get ratty if you suspect someone is breathing down your neck or trying to tell you what to do. You'll also feel irritated with people you know really well, so be prepared for a few fireworks.
