The word "Venture" is not a correct description of this casino. Venture means there is some sort of risk involved. There is no risk ! These people are going to TAKE your money wether it's in a small OR lage building. Lets ask a few questions (1) Do they purchase any supplies from a local small business?(2) Do they put money back inot our community ? the answer is NO, they but from large corporations and their money goes to Oklahoma.....WHY do we care about them....they only want your Money. Can you consume alcohol in the casinos ? No so even expect it....Sorry but a bigger casino just means they can handle MORE people; it isnt going to change a thing in Paris. Can we please THINK about Paris, not Indians wanting to take your money.

Your post is really one of the most pointless and ignorant I have seen. The casino wasn't put there to benefit "our community" and believe it or not, there are other places than Paris, Tx. I'm sure it benefits their local community in that some of the money they pay out to the tribe members is spent locally and the place employs a bunch of people. What exactly is your bitch with them? Did you lose your grocery money and want to blame the Indians?

If the money helps the local community, I'd sure hate to see Hugo without that money! They get about as many city improvements as we will get from the selling of beer here.

Of course that's why they built a bigger one, to accomodate more people. But they also are providing much needed jobs and some of those may be people from Paris. It's a story about the new casino where lots of people from Paris go for entertainment. Calm down.

Actually, I know of several people who drive over from Lamar County to WORK in the Casino. What the Choctaws do is OK by me.

I would simply suggest that you not go there and don't worry about what is going on in Grant, OK. I don't think it was ever represented to help our local economy, so quit worrying about how some people choose to spend their time and money. I'm personally glad it's here for my gaming pleasure.
been there

Calm down

I wasn't the person that used the word "venture".

I'm just saying, they give back to the Indians,(which is fine) but to not Hugo or Paris, thats exactly the point. There is NO Venture. BTW, I've been there, had fun, and yes I saw several, several, people loose money they should have been spending on food & clothing, you know...children!

You want to loose money - go for it- there's suckers born everyday.

Then don't go!! Don't worry about what they name it. what does it matter what the name is. How do you know they don't contribute to hugo or grant or those other towns. It contributes to the choctaw indian tribes.

So that makes you a sucker too. It sounds to me like you have a grudge against them because you have lost probably a LOT of money.

They do employ people from Paris, and yes those people spend part of their check here so yes we are benefiting from it also. Nobody makes you spend your money there.

How come white folks can't have casinos? Are we paying them redskins back for moving in on them back in the 1400s?

Hmm you are pretty ignorant, the Indians suffered worse than any other ethnicity in America. They give that money out to the Indians of the tribe. Come on the Indians are the poorest group of people in America, and that money is used to house them clothe them and feed them. You can just think of it as a donation, and I've seen and heard of many people winning out there. You must have lost your vacation money to have such beef with someone that gives you a chance to win more money.
How funny

I didn't call you ignorant, I said your post was ignorant. However, after seeing more of your posts, I do actually believe you to be ignorant. Otherwise, you're the best ghost writer for an ignorant person I've ever read.

I don't have a pointless job, I haven't been to WalMart in months, you would be absolutely surprised to know what I have achieved in life, and yes, I do go to the casino occasionally and I am not broke. You got anything else you want to show your ignorance over?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
