You got that right. When it comes to common sense, you always go with a person who's spent his life doing practical things -- like framing a house, pouring a foundation, or running a small business. There is something about the "bureaucratic professions" that seems to attract people who are brilliant at arguing semantics but have no clue about the basic nuts and bolts of getting things done.<quoted text>
Oh phooey!! What we really need are some working men, say a carpenter and a crossing guard to make practical levelheaded, common sense decisions. This idea of electing lawyers has been tried but has met with limited success.
