He did not leave because of the pay. He was lured away from Fuquay-Varina High position because Washington High offered him more money. Lets get this straight here...he got to Washington High, did not like what he saw and decided to leave. Wake County Schools would not match an offer, they are not going to beg him to stay if he thinks he could do better soemwhere else. My, my...how the mighty have fallen. He never should have left Fuquay middle school to pursue the dollar signs. As he is known to say "we are not in education for the money".

And what would you do if someone offered you a higher paying position where you might actually be able to make a difference and be heard and still be able to support your family at the same time? Sometimes people have to think about themselves and their family and do what is right for them, you can't hold that against them.

I go to Washington High School. This has been the WORST school year in the last three years Ive been in this school. When Mr. Haegan left, it went downhill. This week we had TWO bomb threats, IN A ROW! Its pathetic, he risked our lives making us stand in the pratice field. That is increadibly dangerous. He could of pushed us in to the football field, or dismissed us, or anything else. We were a parking lot away from the school. Washington High is falling part, and FAST. Mr. Haegan did do some damage when he left, but atleast the students were happy, oh and we didnt have ANY bomb threats to disrupt our learning. In my mind Mr. Haegan did one thing wrong, he fired Mrs. Mendi Lewis. She had the highest test scores for English 1 in the entire school. But anyway I'm straying from the real story. The real story is, Im glad our current principal is leaving, he didnt enforce ANY of the rules. Many people with their shirt tales un-tucked, and no belts...but I must be honest, this includes me. Why do it when I dont have to? I also think Dr. Moss needs to stick his nose back where it was before he came to Beaufort County. To be honest, he is a prick. I personally talked to him, and he was EXTREMLY rude. I guess he had "better" things to do. All in all...It doesnt matter who is our principal right now...Washington High School is in shambles.

Daily Horoscope for February 12

Pisces

You may be the recipient of many blessings as the Moon heads towards Scorpio; these could be financial blessings but they are just as likely to be spiritual. Most Pisceans know that the law of cause and effect works in their favor; as they give, so shall they receive. If you can bless others with your time, love, and money, it will come back to you multiplied. Have faith in the wisdom of the universe.
