Judged: 1 1 1 Here's the problem with what you say... There is the Republican Party out there right now playing shell games with the American people. The problem right now is not the usual 4 percent or less who are mostly minorities. When you get to around TEN percent, you start talking about a lot of White folk. When that happens, you are also talking about a lot of VOTES. Now as you say, there may not be anything wrong with being poor, but being a white guy who used to have a middle-class union job does not agree with you. The last time this many formerly employed White people were out of work was so long ago, that there are not many people who remember it. Suddenly, the Republican Party wants you to forget that, that many White people out of work is THEIR fault. They obstruct because they know that the guy IN OFFICE will suffer from THEIR mistakes. They say stuff like the Obama plan is not working, while they have NO plan of their own, outside of the same tripe that got us into this mess in the first place. Republicans play the political game better than Democrats. Always have, always will. Somehow they get you to ignore their mistakes, their agenda and their arrogance, and get you to take them back. I'm sorry, there something wrong with being poor when you have a college degree. There is something wrong when there are hundreds of thousands of American-employed people in foriegn countries doing jobs that many of our ten percent unemployed could be doing. The shame is not with those who do not work, but rather the un-patriotic companies who do not care about the American worker, and MOST of all the Right Wing enablers who allowed them to show it. God bless Barack Obama and what is LEFT of the United States of America. |

All I am saying is that "we the people" need to do everything we possibly can to better our own situation before expecting others to pick up the tab. It does not matter which party is in power to do such things as graduate from High School, wait until you get married to have kids, stay married once you have them, take any job you can find and live within your means. I don't understand why steps that simple are so difficult for people to do. Union?? I am sick and tired of the tens of billions that went to bail out the UAW. And more that will come to bail out the public sector union pension plans. When are you going to get a real job and start paying real taxes? And by the way, you never told me what your, personal retirement plan is. I guess I will have to bail your dependent rear end out too. |

It makes no difference if EVERY American does what they are supposed to do. We can all obey the law, all graduate from high school, all get married, all stay true to our husbands and wives, all go to church, all teach our kids christian values... And there is STILL going to be preditory lending practices if the government allows it, still going to be preditory HMO's if the goverment allows it, still going to be corporations shipping every fifth job to India if we allow it, still going to be FOX News blaming all of it on everybody BUT those who commit this. The greatest sell job in history is going on right here, right now, and seemingly intelligent people are buying it. This nation cannot turn itself around without reforms and laws that protect the United States citizen. That is what did not happen when Republicans ran the White House and the Congress. They dismantled the protections that allowed the American worker to have jobs, that allowed banks to work for the citizens of this country. And now, you get IDIOTS like Boehner who tell us that we have TOO MUCH reform going on, and he seeks to become the most powerful man on Capital Hill. I repeat - At the end of each presidency we saw the following: Carter: Budget surplus. Reagan: Budget deficit. Bush 1: Budget deficit. Clinton: RECORD budget surplus. Bush 2 first term: Budget deficit. Bush 2 second term: RECORD budget deficit. History speaks to us in factual terms. Very clear terms that we should be paying attention to. When government does its job, the US citizenry are PROTECTED. That is why government exists to PROTECT the people. The Republicans call this "BIG Government." When small government or NON PROTECTIVE government comes into vogue, the preditors of big business have the free reign to run us into the ground. Don't tell me this did not happen. Do not look stupid. History tells us that big business has to be a partner in order for our economy to prosper. History tells us that when Government does its job that happens. History is telling us that the agents of big business are looking to take us down the same dangerous road the second that Boehner, and his partners in crime ever get power again. Do you really want to take that risk? How many times must the right wing fail this country before we learn our lesson? |

Obama will not be able to restore confidence as long as he panders to Mexico and any other anti - American countries. He will not restore confidence while he attacks Arizona, which want the borders secure, and immigration laws enforced. He will not restore confidence until he serves the American people.
