There is a huge difference between tolerance and ignorance. the word "Queen" signifies that the person holding the title would be female. Not one wishing he were female. we are to be tolerant of others and their views, not of their ignorance. If they truly ignorant (meaning without knowledge of) then we are to educate them on the subject. Pull out your bible and read. Then you will be educated to know that homosexuality is not accepted in God's eyes, and shouldn't be accepted in ours either. Educate the poor homosexuals and get them lots of counseling, maybe we can save one or two of them. You are all (homosexuals) in my prayers to "straighten" out your life.

I am not sure how I fee about this guy being voted Queen---my first reaction was poor family, having to suffer humiliation---however, when I read your comment, I saw nothing other than humor put to a social issue. I absoutely think there should be policies in regards to Prom Queen ans Prom King ( NATURAL GIRL)(NATURAL BOY) at the High School Level----The students should not be having to go to Prom and laugh!!!!!

Me Me......You're absolutely right. "Prom" is a very serious matter & not to be taken lightly. The last thing these kids should do is enjoy themselves & laugh. Don't they know they're suppose to be getting high & beating one another up ???!!! How else will they learn to be hostile, anti-social adults ?

My first opinion, this is hilarious. My second opinion, this had to be a joke for the classmates, They voted for him, maybe just to get this kind of attention. That's what kids do. Have fun. I'm over here busting a gut. I'm sure it was a joke that they all planned to do to irritate the school district, principal and everybody else that got irritated.

People like you keep me employed, so thank you.(I work for an attorney) but this is not case for a law suit. "Queen" signifies that the person holding the title be female, not wish he were female. The principal was correct in his decision to rescind the election results.

Where'd you learn election law ? Florida ?

Is there any reason he can't be on the ballot for prom king, since he is genetically male, after all? If he prefers a tiara over a crown as prom king, his choice, but as long as he is "XY" shouldn't that put him on the "King" ballot instead?

Shouldn't those high school kids be allowed to have some fun & run THEIR events the way THEY want ?????? There is such a thing as the Rights of Young People !

Tradition is Prom Queen is for the girls and Prom King is for the guys. Why does tradition have to be broken for a guy who is gay and a class prank. Racine did the smart thing and kept the tradition the way it should be. Good job you didn't give into the p.c. pressure!!!
