Apparently you can't read very well. They did not go to Prom. Jodie was home with them and they had watched tv together. He had a key because on one week-end while they were away he was taking care of the animals. When Jodie got up in the morning she thought both kids had left because the cars were gone, that Reyes had moved to another location. Don't start calling them tramps or whores, do you call them that because you are one? You are a real piece of work.. do you have children? Do you know if they are having sex in a car somewhere else you probably join them ****
If Ms. Carrigan was home, then she must be deaf to have not heard the major scuffle that must have been going on in that bedroom, or maybe to incoherent to know what was happening.

If the ex had taken care of the animals why was the key not surrendered when he was finished.

Their bodies were not discovered until 3 pm. What took her so long to get around to looking for them.

I have a college age daughter myself and she was never allowed to be in these kinds of situations. I always knew where my daughter was and she had enough respect for me as a parent to have high standards and morals for herself.

Before you get your panties all in a twist again, my point is that if just a couple of minor things were different those kids would still be alive today. Also this should be a big lesson that when people are hinting around at being angry over a former love everyone should take what they say seriously, because the times you don't look what can happen. Always better to err on the side of caution.

What idiots you all are. You all have such grand opinions and NO facts. Read ALL the reports before you write all this crap on here. Yes, they were 18 and having sex, but so were most of you. It doesn't mean you can kill someone.

No one said it was okay to kill anyone. The murders probably would have been averted if some factors that were definite poor choices on the parts of those involved would have and should have been different.

Just because they were 18 doesn't mean squat. They both still lived at home. Out of respect, if you are going to be having sex, you don't do it in your parent's home. If they would have went to a motel or even in the back seat of a car somewhere, they would still be alive today.
Who cares if they were having intercourse, they didn't deserve to die or it You don't think he could have followed them to a motel or in the car, that was a stupid statement that they would be alive today if they had been in a motel or car.

Your should be ignorance, you are blowing smoe out your ass and don't know what you are talking about. It is nice that your daughter is in college and a virgin, not many of them around that age anymore. I doubt if you knew what and what your daughter was doing all the time. Go and read the articles and most of your questions would be answered. I assume that you can read.

I am at a total lose how people that don't know the actual facts can lash out. Have you never heard believe half of what you see and none of what you read. Newspapers have gotten so much information wrong in this case it has become a circus. If you really want to know the facts maybe you should have been at the trial. Even then there were other facts not mentioned. If you have ever been a parent of a child you would know you can be standing right next to them and they will still get hurt somehow. The hardest lesson a parent can learn is that you can't protect them from everything. Jodie did nothing wrong. I'm not going to go into details because basically its none of your business. I am going to offer you some advice, if and when you ever become a parent; try to teach them to not judge anyone they don't know, unless they are personally involved they will never know all the facts. Maybe you can ask your mom why she didn't teach you that. the victims here are all the parents, Jodie, the Furtado's and yes the Carillo's. Four lives were lost because one young man couldn't see past his obsession, and Three families, two towns, and two High schools are devastated.

The poster didn't call them names, but now you are. All the poster wanted to know was where was the mother while all this was taking place? If she was supposedly at home, why didn't she hear the screams, the horrible knifing, the sounds of someone coming into the house. And if I had given a key to someone who was no longer trustworthy I sure as h--l would have changed the locks! I feel terrible for the mother also but something sounds fishy in this story of hers.

Did you read all the posts? Go read post 13, do they not ask if Jodie was out tramping around or just letting her daughter be a tramp... is that not name calling? Nothing fishy about the story at all.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
