Well there is no stopping it -- where ever they want to put that house of demon worship they will. How excited can people get over a place that baptizes the dead, and has marriages for time and eternity so the mormon women can join her husband who is now a God on a distant planet to stay pregant forever. He also had lots of wives there and handmaidens. Sounds like something out of Colorado City! Seems like they have all ignored the last sentence in Rev., with their idea of a message!

I believe a true Christian is one who does not lower themselves to condemning others but lives their whole life lifing others up by their Christlike example. Christ taught at the temple and is the example of how to build our own lives into a Temple of God. Here is one of my favorite antidotes that conveys how important the Temple is as a model in our own lives.

"Ye Are the Temple of God"

"Last winter I was facing some deep challenges. Wanting to get close to the Lord, I walked up to the Provo Temple one evening. As I gazed at that lovely, sacred edifice, I reflected upon the words of Paul: "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God?" (1 Cor. 3:16.) I found myself pondering the significance of these words. In what sense is a person like a temple? What changes would I need to make in myself to be worthy to be called a temple of God?

A temple becomes a temple when it is dedicated. It is not the house of the Lord until it is given unto Him.

A temple is beautiful. Looking at it lifts and edifies. It is spotless and dignified.

A temple is calm and still. Peace and quietness reign within.

A temple is a place of worthiness--no unclean thing may enter therein.

Engraved deeply into the wall of the temple are the words, "Holiness to the Lord."

A temple is a house of service. Its whole purpose is to provide those things that are truly essential for the happiness of God's children.

The spire of the temple rises skyward. The righteous, on seeing the temple, lift their eyes to heaven.

A temple is built by sacrifice, by diligent and patient labor.

A temple is, above all, a home for God the Father, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. The house of the Lord is a sacred place, worthy of their presence.

With such thoughts in my heart, I looked at the temple and then at my own life:

Am I dedicated to the Lord?

Does my appearance lift and edify?

Am I peaceful and calm within?

Are my mind and heart open only to worthy thoughts and feelings?

Is "holiness to the Lord" engraved upon my soul?

Am I engaged in vital service to God's children?

Do I lift my eyes toward heaven?

Am I willing to build myself by sacrifice, toil, and patience?

Does the Spirit of God dwell in me?

In short, am I becoming a temple of the Most High God?

we are the temples of God if we are born again by the blood of the lamb......... are you saved by what Christ did on the Cross ?? totally saved by what Christ did on the cross ?? or is the mormon way Christ and my pretty little good works ?? He either died for all your sins,or he died for none......... If your good works can save you becky, then christ had no reason to die...... also he is not Satans brother...... just thought I would throw that in in case you forgot... Also becky you have to get over this idea that if someone disagrees with you ,that they are hate mongers of something of the sort........ thats not the case !!

Again you show your lack of knowledge of the Bible. All mankind and spiritual offspring of God are spirit brothers and sisters. In the premortal existence Jesus was the eldest and greatest of all God’s children. Christ was “firstborn among many brethren”(Romans 8:29). Lucifer, Adam, Abraham, etc., are also God’s children. During the war in Heavan Satan and one third of our premortal brothers and sisters were cast out (see Abraham 3:22-28). Job 1:6 tells us that Satan is a “son” of God. Elsewhere, this same author speaks of the “sons of God” as “morning stars”(Job 38:7). Isaiah refers to Lucifer as a “son of the morning”(Isaiah 14:12). Jesus is refered to as the “bright morning star”(Rev. 22:16). The Bible teaches that Christ, man, and Satan are all “sons of God.”
Have there ever been any other non-Mormon Christians who understood the implication of the Bible’s premortal spiritual sonship? Catholic scholar Giovanni Papini quotes and comments on the writings of the early Christian Lactantius (26-340 AD):

“Before creating the world, God produced a spirit like Himself, replete with the virtues of the Father. Later he made another, in whom the mark of divine origin was erased, because this one was besmirched by the poison of jealousy and turned therefore from good to evil.... He was jealous of his older Brother who, remaining united with his Father, insured his affection unto himself. This being who from god became bad is called Devil by the Greeks.“
[Papini comments:] According to Lactantius, Lucifer would have been nothing less than the brother of the Logos.... The elder spirit, filled with every divine virtue and beloved by God above all other spirits, can easily be recognized as Word, that think that the other Spirit, also endowed with every grace, was the second son of the Father: the future Satan would be, no less, the younger brother of the future Christ.(The Devil [NY:E.P. Dutton & Co., 1954], 81-82; original Lactantius, Divine Institutes II, 9; quoted by Bill Forrest; for those who term Lactantius as “Christian,” see Peterson & Ricks, 150, n. 518.)

If Lactantius can believe that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers and still be called a “Christian,” and then so can Mormons.

Margaret Barker, Methodist minister and national Bible scholar in her book, "The Great Angel" talks about the Sons of God. There is more she goes into that put Mormonism front and center as the true Restored Gospel. Great read.

Interesting how you just condemned your own Christian scholars who believe as the LDS do. I think you assume way too much about what we believe or you have been listening to myths and falsehoods by those who have a reson to keep their 'sheep' from learning the truth. We believe Jesus is God and that he has no beginning and no end...the Alpha and Omega...I could go on and on. I find it quite telling that the Protestant Christians are fractured and a mass of confusion. Maybe that is why there is so many different denominations and sects as you don't all see things the same way.
Saying something is false is not the same thing as proving that it is. Just a lot of hot air. I am so curious why you never offer evidence to prove that the LDS beliefs are false? Is it because you can't? It's quite telling how many different Christian Scolars such as the ones I quoted above who are professional exegetesis and prove our beliefs are true.(exegesis = critical explanation or interpretation of a text or portion of a text, esp. of the Bible.) Since you like to use the Strongs Concordance why don't you prove using it how our beliefs are false teachings? Did you know that the Strongs Concordance is on line on a number of sites so there no need now to haul out that large, thick tome size book when you can find what you are looking for in an instant. I retired mine years ago and opt. for the on-line version. It's so much faster. I guess you think that the LDS are a bunch of country bunkins, hate to bust your bubble but the LDS use the Strong's Concordance and have been proving our beliefs by it and also by going further back to the real Ancient Christian Church. I bought mine years ago when I was at BYU studying Hebrew and Ancient Religion. Amazing how new discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nag Hammadi are also proving our teachings are what the Savior taught while upon the earth.
Here is the Concordance on line so you can enlighten us with your expansive knowledge. I'll be waiting.

I realize you have access to the strongs, but I really question if you actually use it....I also realize that you almost sound christian, but i also realize that that is only the starting point... as one goes deeper into Mormonism little changes here and there finally lead one away from the truth... a very cunning and deceptive religion this Mormonism is....there is neither male nor female in heaven.......but somehow you Mormons are now going there as man and wives......????

tsk tsk tsk, how sad that even when give passages that are in the Bible, people still can not get it, and try to cut down what they do not understand, one day they will say oh yes I heard that Father I am so sorry i did not listen.... what a comfort it is to know that the man i love is my eternal companion, my children are mine forever and ever and death will not break that bond....

Bonny Girl,
Show me in the Bible where it says that 'there is neither male nor female IN HEAVEN.' I would be very curious about where you get this teaching. Make your case as you claim but just make sure you don't stretch your interpetation to say something it really doesn't say. I'm waiting.
Points to help you not to stumble:
Please be sure you are not preaching a different gospel.
Be sure your explanation is in the proper context of what is going on.(clue)
'works of the law' means the Law of Moses that was a Schoolmaster.
We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Words of caution: don't be foolish or become bewitched.
And pay attention to the arugment going on in about 3 to 4 chapters...I think you will find that it does not say what you are trying to say that it does.
Good luck with your arguement.

I try to live my life according to all our Saviors teaching, I do not see fellow member of the LDS religion bad mouthing, cutting down, what I do see is them trying to explain and open eyes to the fact that we are CHRISTIANS. we follow the teachings of the Savior.... So to those who degrade what they know nothing about, please read the Book of Mormon pray for the truth and it you do it with real intent, and not in a bad way the truth will come and you will then know we speak the truth...

I dont understand how people could be so mean, to people that are just like them, were made out of the same material some just have different beleifs && your going to be mean to them && put them down for that its sad our nation was founded under god. All these years the constitution has been the solid foundation of our country. && some of your erigance causes us to lose our foundation as citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Remeber in GOD we trust. Now today people seem to forget how important religion is to this country && the survival, && the great thing is in our country it is our choice to choose the religion we practice. That is our gift.

I think we should all take time to relearn what our Country was founded on. I hope that the new Presdient of America remebers our Four Fathers and the Constitution they wrote. We do need to rember that this is One Nation Under God Indivisble With Liberty and Justice For All.
