TX man indicted of killing 3, back in courtroom

I hope that justice will be done soon, and that this family can now find some peace knowing that this is about over. I cannot imagine waiting this long to get justice for my daughter and grandchildren. On the optimistic side, it is also true that some families never obtain justice, cases never solved, so in that instance,17 years is better than never.

It is also my hope that any co-conspirators are named by Mr Hailey.

Although I don't live there, I have been following this case for years, and am so happy to see it get this far. God bless Gerri Faye, Jessica and Mackenzie Butts.

Can you imagine KH's thoughts on what could happen to him? Do you even care? And if you don’t care, how can you say you gave rats behind on JB and her family. Didn’t she and her kids adore him? Kids are known to be great at sensing bad or evil in people, but no one has said anything to that tone. If my daughter were still alive, I would have no fear about her or I being in a room with KH. That’s the truth.

KH doesn’t live that way.
KH doesn’t deserve death row, just because you don’t like him.
Funny thing is, he doesn’t harbor the hate, over what you say, or how you only see how you are right,(without any proof, or evidence) then your to be given full credit for solving this case, how you must feel knowing the person you don’t like for whatever reason could be sent to Death Row... could you sleep at night? Its time to let go, GB, JB AND MB CANNOT FULLY REST UNTIL YOU LET THEM.
I AM GLAD HE IS GOING TO COURT, HE WILL ONCE AND FOR ALL BE ABLE TO STAND up, AND FACE ALL THOSE WHO HAVE ACCUSED HIM WITHOUT KNOWING A PIECE OF THE TRUTH. WHEN THE TRUTH IS SPOKEN, THE TRUTH THAT HE KNOWS AND THAT SOME OF US ARE CONFIDENT IN.
May all of you have a bit of what I have seen personally IN KH's eyes and face. The truth, kindness, compassion. Who will then say they apologize for the murder by character assassination towards him.
I have made no secret, I will support his side.

As of yesterday there were I believe 23 chosen and they need, I think up to 45 or 49, so shouldnt be much longer. After the jury is selected they will go on a 2-3 week wait to let the new lawyer famialirze himself with the case. Supposedly Tanner tried to sneak in some new DNA that the Defense knew nothing about,( after all these years, and without giving them time to send the stuff to the lab..... Could be longer than that I guess.

dihard1, it sounds like there is some game playing going on...trying for another continuance I'll bet. It is already going to be at least the 3 rd week of October before it starts then, right ? Wonder what kind of DNA they tried to bring in ? I wish I could be there.

yea , when the new lawyer came onboard, they said they would do a 2 week break and that way he could be sure to know his stuff. I havent found out yet about the actual "NEW" evidence, but when I do, you know I will let you know. I'M going to some,,the first week and of course the last couple of days, maybe some in between, dont know yet. I have to work so it will just be here and there. does it seem to you like it does to me, that the evidence the prosecution ust to say they have, its been shown to be other that KH. It will be very interesting.It is even said now there was NO molestation of the young girl. That is certainly a blessing even under the circumstances. you know? I will keep you posted. I was gonna try to find someone to send some info to while there, but dont know how to arrange that yet....

I didn't realize a lot of the evidence was coming back to other than Kevin. I live too far away and am not there to hear the latest...I get it off here, and other forums.

I hope it is true that Jessica was not molested. That would indeed be a blessing.

I still think, and always have, that whoever the murderer is, made Gerri watch her children being killed, and that there were two people in the house...one holding her, and one doing the deed. Perhaps they switched places, since the baby was killed in a different manner. I have thought though that Kevin was one of them. Another forum had a wanna be cop that posted info about the case for several years, tried to make the time line fit it being Kevin after 2:30 AM but I have never believed that. I think it happened much earlier in the evening.

So, we'll see when the trial gets going what evidence they actually do have, and how it all fits together.
