it would be better to have them 24/7 than to have a problem that you need a cop for . than to wait for a state to show up from who knows where . also i think it would help there area get back to what it used to be before all of the city people moved in the area and bitch about hings that have been here alot longer then they have .

I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about helping get the area back to what it was before the city people moved in...Could you be more specific? The police dept wasn't here before the so-called city people moved in, so I'm confused. I might agree with the first part of your comment if, in fact, the dept. we have now was competant...which they are not...based on my experience with them. Before we go 24/7, they really need to do some cleaning up...they need to establish some credibility...then they might establish some respect from the citizenry. As things stand now, I don't believe they have that.

Just because YOU don't think they have credibility doesn't make it so. I have had great experiences with them and so have people I know.

In fact, aside from you, I have yet to see anyone with any personal experience say anything negative. You cite one example where you allege a couple officers did something illegal (which is why they got fired right and/or arrested right?).

Another example was cited where someone was upset that they reprimanded kids for shooting other kids with airsoft guns.

I am sure there have been people who have had negative experiences with Richlandtown cops...trespassers, DUI drivers, shoplifters, vandals, and petty thieves.

I will guarantee you that more people have positive experiences than negative.

Also, if you are so sure you are right, go ahead and right an article about it. You can then see whether or not your opinion is shared by the majority.

Vainee..look I have to go somewhere, but I'll take a minute...If you look at this thread I think you will see more than one person who is not exactly happy with the job being done by our local police dept. No one to my knowledge was fired. I don't know what you are talking about there. It's been more than one incident. You're ranting about things I have never mentioned. It's quite obvious that the twp status quo is near and dear to your heart and you seem to fear any change may have a negative impact on your current wheelings and dealings....Sorry buddy, but we don't care. How's it feel?

Again Brien, if you are so sure in your belief...write an article on it. Put it in the Free Press about how Richlandtown police are corrupt and should be replaced by the State Police. You can say that the township will save money etc.

Make your best argument.

You seem to want to affect change, start doing it.

If not, well, then we can all assume you're just an impotent coward.

I would like nothing better. The Upper Bucks Free Press" is a monthly publication for the people and by the people of Upper Bucks. The paper features community commentary and events. It will not be used as a platform for individual political opinion. You will find occasional coverage of a township meeting. You may find an interview regarding something going on or upcoming. You will mostly be reading nice stuff. That's the way it is.

well what i'm saying is that alot of people have moved into this township from large cities and don't understand how to get along with people . so the need for cops are needed . i'm not saying everyone is bad but if you read the police reports with asult stealing. as for the police force we have they are a great group . the people who complain about them are the ones that have gotten tickets or had them come to your house someone called them . this was awsome place to live and can be again . if we all try to be better neighbors .

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
