Well, thank Orloff for sitting on his laurels these past EIGHT years and not putting the pressure on PennDOT to sychronize the traffic lights on 309. Four more years, ie 2012 is an OUTRAGEOUS date to have that project completed!
If people are so concerned about drivers cutting through developments and shopping centers to find a quicker route, then start putting the pressure on our local governments to get PennDOT to speed up their timeline!
There is no way that it should take 22 minutes to go from Tollgate to Target on a Saturday!

One Saturday at 11AM I went to Target. Started at Trumbauersville Rd. 5 minutes to get there, 17 to get home. This isn't the sticks anymore. |

Tell me about juniper, i've close to death on several runs. People park too close to the corners, there are way too many daytime cars parked in the street and people really fly. I stepped off the curb and got brushed by this guys mirror...he told me you gotta watch where you walk I didn't see you. And of course sped off....6th and Juniper...i'll find him and his silver VW |
Has Zowniriw done anything about it? The Morning Call May 9 article:“Richland Township is one community that isn't thrilled by the state's new emphasis on fixing bridges. While many municipalities are seeing their aging spans becoming priorities, Richland says it's having key projects delayed because of the new goals. Long-planned work to improve traffic flow on the busy Route 309 corridor has been given a 2012 date. Signals in Quakertown and Richland. It will get $1.25 million next year for utility work, but won't get the remaining $2 million until three years later. The proposal seeks to streamline traffic signals on Route 309, California Road and Main Street, to keep traffic flowing smoothly. It's been planned since 2000 and the two communities have spent $141,000 on engineering.” |

Roads through developments are public roads and are maintained with public money. You cannot restrict who uses a public road or street. |
|
|
Sure you can....they restrict trucks over a certain tonage from using certain roads, they restrict lanes on the highways to certain vehicles. Left lane - no buses or trucks, they restrict, they restrict developements and areas with -"No trucks or local traffic only" signs.
what you said is wrong...of course they can restrict public roads! |
|
How do you know all this information, if I may ask? |
|
It is directly copied from the Morning Call article; hence, the ICanRead. |

Z is in the minority. Orloff and his bootlicker control everything...where the hell have you been? |
|
Your usual thoughtful and civilized comments are expected but not very insightful. The Richland Board minutes, on line for all to read, reveal that Zowniriw has done nothing in 5 years but recommend a golf course and township wide free Internet. Neither idea went anywhere. |

I have also lived off of Hickory Drive for the past 25 years - both as a child living with my parents and now as an adult with my own family. Anyone remember when there was no light at 663 and Hickory? There weren't any people using Hickory as a bypass then. My parents wouldn't even use that intersection back then. There is way too much traffic now, and most people are not going 25 mph.(for those of you who do...thank you). It's also almost impossible to make a left out of my street onto Hickory. I'm not sure what would help - but that EZ pass thing sounds good. Maybe 4 way stops at each intersection?

Now wait, you are telling me that Z has just as many court cases or convictions as ideas or programs...That is effective governing! LOL. You forget, he posed with Murphy for a picture after Murphy won a lawsuit against the township that Z is a supervisor in. |
|
Murphy didn't "win" and Richland didn't "lose" the case; Murphy agreed that Richland engaged in NO wrongdoing against him. It was cheaper to pay him than to go to court where he would have lost. The taxpayers were the real losers as far as cost but the winners as far as Murphy losing his bid to become a supervisor. |

These political dopes can ruin anything. Funny thing is, no on cares. These small politicians are nobodies. |
|
Yeah, but it's these "nobodies" that raise your taxes because of poor management. |
