Yeah...they freaked when they heard about that land being developed. Duh, you move next to a field with a for-sale sign up, what did you think was going to happen?
I think it will end up being developed, but if that does happen, I really think that 663 needs to be widened.
I think that development was okayed by Milford & is a go. I'm pretty sure the zoning got changed for it. When that will happen I do not know.

I really hope those traffic lights go up very soon!

Huge development under name "Milford Village" is going in between Portzer and Mill Hill Roads. Several hundred apartments in 5-story buildings, several hundred townhouses, large retail and commercial areas, etc. Developers are Lifequest (Heiser) and Del Mark Ward. Developers will be presenting their proposals at Milford Township Planning Board meeting at 7pm on Weds. Sept. 30. If you want to have a say regarding the development, and the problems it will bring to the area (huge increases in traffic congestions, noise, city lights at night) you need to attend, at Milford Township Building. So far, very few residents have showed up at the township meetings, so the township is just rubber-stamping what the developers want.

Does anyone know why the local income tax in Milford is 1.75% while Quakertown and the rest of Bucks County is 1.00%. There are no greater benefits, the sewer cost is exaggerated, the water is so hard that even the faucet filter is insufficient and if we are zoned Qtown with its zip code why are we paying for Milford?

Beats me, but since I don't work in Milford I always owe a significant amount of local taxes...

I think the entire school district is 1.5% with some municipalities collecting a bit more for open space. Richland collects 1.6%

I believe the taxes in Milford were raised in order to preserve more open space. I believe there was a referendum voted on in 2007. People did not realize how much it would be at the time. In my opinion, ballot referendums, are generally written in a way that people do not really understand what is at stake. Hope this helps.

Where did you get the information the rest of Bucks is 1.00%? Quakertown is and has been 1.5 for sometime and I know Hilltown is 1.65, Perkasie is 1.6 and Many others are around the same.

I believe in the last 1-2 years, Quakertown has gone up to 1.5 or 2..I really dont pay attention to exactly what it is because it is ridiculous anyway!
