I have heard some very disturbing news. Seems a property across from the church in trumbauersville has been sold and a porno shop is going in. how can I possibly walk to my church now? What a disgrace.

It's easy. You put one foot in front of the other. See? Easy. Lighten Up, Francis.

pornography is evil. It's the work of the devil.

I've watched alot of porn over the years, and i can honestly say I've never seen the devil in an of them. If you'd please give me the titles of these films, I'd like to check out his acting abilities. I've always heard the saying, "the devil made me do it". Well, I want to know if the devil knows how to do it.

This is BS. Too close to school and daycare center. The town wouldn't allow it, plus it's not a good location. This poster is just trolling.

Paddy- Check out the Devil in Ms. Jones series. Its from the 70's so it's a bit dated, but still good for the era. I believe it was Marilyn Chambers who starred in them. Was the first porn I saw. It made quite an impression!

Sorry, but exclusionary zoning is against the law. Adult book stores are usually zoned in commercial districts. But I find it strange that an adult book store would locate far from major traffic hubs.

Then again, with tons of Internet porn, why would anyone invest money in an adult bookstore? It seems like a losing proposition. If you want to invest in porn, rent a studio and hire sex workers for live Internet shows.

Townships do have the right to define where commercial establishments are located. Zoning is not considered exclusionary. As such, they can prohibit opening within a certain distance from schools, etc., and make it very difficult. T-ville is a very small town, it's not going to happen. Like you said, the location would be ridiculous anyway. This is just a troll trying to stir the pot and take his mind off his loser life. The same kind of sick pup that enjoys making prank phone calls.

I'd rather live near a porn shop than a church.. let's think about all the bad news that has come out of churches lately? Can't think of any from porn shops.

Here's an example of what's going on in your backyard. You can keep it there, most people would rather have a church. 99.5% of them add value to the community.

I have no problem with adults who choose to frequent porn stores. The issue is where they are located, and if they're more preferable as neighbors than churches. Take morals and religion out of it and my view would be the same. A porn shop in a small, residential village like T'ville would devastate home values, attract undesirables, and serve as a negative influence on and possible danger for children living nearby. The poster who said he'd "rather" live next to one than a church was just being a pinhead. I was not making a moral judgement.

Porn shops and churches are both legal, money making operations that give temporary gratification.
