Well, with gas at $3+ per gallon, the only truck that makes sense is Chevy. Dodge can't build anything, truckwise, that will get over 14mpg, including the Dakota. Ford does a little better in the new models at 17mpg. But Chevy really shines at 21mpg highway. I have a '98 4x4, extended cab with large tires, 5.7 vortech, and I get 19.8 on the highway. Can't argue with that.

Oh, and that includes the Nissan, and Toyota. They also get fewer miles/gallon. Even their little toy trucks.

I beg to differ Dodge can and do get over 14mpg. I get 18 to 19 out of my Dodge on the highway, with 20's and oversized tires. But I do have a nephew that had a 98 Chevy extended cab with 33 12.50's and he gets like 11mpg. Got a nother nephew that had a gmc quadcab like my dodge and he only got 10mpg. So I totaly disagree with your comment.

Hey, that's what makes the world go round. Some people buy good trucks and others buy Dodge and Ford! LOL

Is Dodge still making trucks? a dodge truck that gets 18 - 19 mpg must have a four banger.

I'll have to say Chevy. I've had both Ford and Chevy, but Ford is just too damn proud of their parts. Besides Fords are like a peterbuilt truck, they both circled their mistakes.

I've owned Fords and I'd rather walk with GMC hubcaps under my arms than drive another Ford.

owning a dodge is like liveing next door to a mexican, you just never get used to it . if chevy or ford or gmc could make a truck half as good as my toyota they may have something worth selling. 4x4 v 6 and still get 22 with the air on

I would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy. My tools rust in my Ford. Never have to use them.
