Mayor of Petal

Someone said that Rep. Mike Lott has been hired to be the economic developer for Petal...hhhmmmm....I hope this is a step in the direction of the Mayor's job for him.

The mayor of Petal has proven time and time again that he needs to be replaced! If his latest outburst at Monday nights meeting (11-5) isn't evidence enough, then I don't know what is! The man has a screw loose and he needs to get on medication for his apparent mental condition- or better yet, get out of the city!

I agree! The Mayor has used his position to cheat and defraud the fine citizens of Petal for his own Personal gain! He is a crook!

Building Official Darrin Carroll was suspended from office yesterday after he issued stop work orders on the mayors personal projects located in the city limits. It appears that the Mayor of Petal passed an illegal ordinance allowing him to build under sized homes (900 square feet) on under sized lots (5000 square feet) in an area of town that requires 1400 square foot homes on 10,000 square foot lots. This is a direct violation of the zoning ordinances and is destructive to the surrounding community. It sounds like Mr. Carroll is the only person in the city that has the balls to stand up to the mayor. Why would the Council allow this to happen?

That is a very good question, and one I wouldn't mind hearing the answer to! I just know I'm so thankful there are still people among us like Mr. Carroll. He has values pertaining to honesty and integrity. He wasn't afraid to do what was right, even though it was terribly inconvenient for him. I really admire his actions in this fiasco!

I want to know if the people of the city of Petal are interested in knowing that the mayor had to be escorted off of the property off of Mr. Randy Walker by the police yesterday and so upset Mr. Walkers poor wife that she had to go to the hospital. What a disgrace to our city

How do we go about with impeachment proceedings. He only got elected to replace an already bad mayor. We really didnt think we could get any worse. But, alas.....

I agree get rid of this crook before he does more damage to the fine City of Petal. I did some research a while back and believe me he is nothing but bad news to the honest hardworking citizens of Petal. Does he think everyone is a stupid as he is. that he could do his evil deeds and no one would know. Getting rid of him is not enough, send him to jail with the other greedy opportunists. shame shame on him. He thought he was slick and crafty enough to get away with cunning plans. Now he can pay the piper.

Hi This fine ex mayor of yours now is the city administrator in our town of Valparaiso Fl. I think he is doing the same thing he did in your town. Please someone respond I need to talk to you - we want him out of our town.

Good luck, he is such a work of art!! In 4 yrs he about broke us, so get ready...the man is a crook!
