Punta Gorda Police are Horrible

I Was traveling through Punta Gorda and found my self in a lane that was about to end close to a bridge. I step on the gas to get in front of a truck so I could merge. There was a Punta Gorda police car getting radar there so yes I was busted. No big deal I was caught. It was teh way the officer handle it that shock me. without even saying a word to this officer her wrote me 3 tickets. Talking about being a ass to out of state people this guy was the largest pathetic ass i ever met. He called me reckless yet he pulled out in fornt of another motorist and cut another car off to get behind me. I made a mistake in teh wrong lane but did i deserve 3 tickets? No speeding would've been enough. This ass badge number was 410 and his name is Gari. I recommend all out of state driver to stay away from Punta Gorda. this police man is a real asshole.

If you lived here, you would understand the traffic situation. I'm not saying that you deserved the tickets, that is not my call. However, people in Punta Gorda drive very recklessly. Usually, it is a person over 70 years old or someone playing with a cell phone.

It is even worse in the winter when the snowbirds come to town. Most of them should not even be driving to begin with. I have seen them sideswipe cars along Olympia when they had plenty of room! I can't stand it when they run the yield sign at W. Henry and Marion!!! Should I mention the countless times each day that I see an elderly person run a stop light?

I love Punta Gorda, PG will always be home to me - but watch out for Grandma!!!

Sounds to me with the attitude you display on here that you probably deserved 4 tickets!

i live in punta gorda too and i agree the cops are bad now of days my friend got arrested for driving with out a licence which he deverves but he told me half the people in their were mostly bcuz of driving he even said that they had an old lady in their for going 5 under.
