It is a fine thing to honor those Southern men, no matter their color or creed who fought under the Confederate battle flag and wore the hallowed gray and butternut!

I think it is great! As a student of American history, I can say that one picture is worth a thousand words. The South would not have lasted sixty days without the support of all her people - black, white, red, et al. To say that blacks did not FIGHT for their homeland is revisionist history at its worst. These brave soldiers of the South deserve to be honored and in that act of honoring them, let's hope to stop the attacks on all things Southern by people who are either uneducated or have a ax to grind.

As a proud member of the UDC, DAR and Daughters of 1812, I am happy to see any soldier who wore the Confederate gray honored! We in the South have long known that Blacks and Whites served together to protect the South from invasion. It is fitting and right to honor these brave men. God Bless them and may they rest in peace.
PS - too bad you won't be seeing this event on TV!

What difference does "color" or race make. Those that make the committment to fight to protect their families, homes, state, and Country, against invasion and agression are all heros.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
